Prince Charles is a blithering idiot

In a move sure to infuriate people of common sense, the Prince of Wales has just sold humanity (and the earth) down the river with his recent remarks about Islam leading the way in the Green Movement, as reported in the Daily Mail UK:

Prince Charles yesterday urged the world to follow Islamic ‘spiritual principles’ in order to protect the environment.

In an hour-long speech, the heir to the throne argued that man’s destruction of the world was contrary to the scriptures of all religions – but particularly those of Islam.

He said the current ‘division’ between man and nature had been caused not just by industrialisation, but also by our attitude to the environment – which goes against the grain of ‘sacred traditions’….

He added: ‘The inconvenient truth is that we share this planet with the rest of creation for a very good reason – and that is, we cannot exist on our own without the intricately balanced web of life around us.

‘Islam has always taught this and to ignore that lesson is to default on our contract with creation.’

The bonehead Prince Charlie made his pro-Islam comments during a speech at Oxford’s Centre for Islamic Studies, in which he so blatantly sucked up to his hosts/sponsors that the audience appeared to be completely disgruntled to the point of revulsion.

What Islamic “spiritual principles,” Charles?  The ones embodied in the Koran and other Islamic texts that say Jews are “apes and pigs” who should be hunted down and slaughtered?  Or the Koranic verses that dictate all non-Muslims must be murdered or that otherwise incite Muslim followers to violence?  Or how about the Koranic scriptures and commentaries that say women are worth one-half or less then men, that men are their superiors and essentially own them as property?

How does any of this hateful rubbish constitute Islamic respect for the “intricately balanced web of life around us?”  Have you ever seen the practices of Islamic animal slaughter or read the derogatory Islamist remarks about dogs and other animals?  While the West can barely get a handle on animal abuse, at least it tries, but you can bet animal abuse is far more rampant in many if not most Muslim countries.

And associating environmentalism with Islam is another disgrace that will completely turn off millions of people from joining the Green Movement.  From the looks of things – such as the proposed London mega-mosque, which was planned to have sand all around it – if Muslim fanatics were left to their own, they would turn the entire planet into one big desert.  Yep, that’s a fine environmental principle.

Where is the great environmental record of rabid Islamists, Charles, who are busy blowing things up, cranking polluting oil out of the ground and reproducing at world-destroying rates?  (Yes, yes, there is room for vast improvement in all these areas in the non-Muslim world as well, but at least we are not making any absurd pretenses here about great “spiritual values” where there are none – and at least we acknowledge the problem and try to work on it, rather than lying about the situation, as Charles is doing here.)

Thanks, Charles, for selling one-half of humanity down the road to slavery.  (And the other half as well, as you men will all need to get down on your knees and stick your arses in the air five times a day in a nonsensical and time-consuming ritual that will surely spell the end to productivity in the civilized world.)

Charles, if free women (and men) become enslaved under Islamic domination, you and your other politico-buddy sellouts and dhimwits will be largely to blame.  Shame on you for now and forever!

1. HAHAHA!
Like I said no more self proclaimed ROYALTY! They are rich and just as much idiot as the mass of so called humans!

2. Looks to me like he got wicca/pagan mixed up with Islam.

3. Wowzers!!!

Thanks for writing this article, Acharya. It’s stuff like this that infuriates me. The last thing the planet needs is to be under the fascist ideology of Islam. I mean, just look at any Muslim nation, they are no better and in most cases far worse off than most Western nations.

Charles deserves a bitch slap for these comments. Did the Saudi’s pay him to make those treasonous comments? I won’t expect these comments by Charles to be in the major media since Fox News is now owned by Muslims.

4. If I were christian, I’d think him to be the anti-
If I were still christian, prince charles would certainly be the pick for anti-christ.

5. Best
Simple logistics. One does not sh*t, clean one’s arse and eat with the same unwashed hand.

That’s in the Koran and that’s why the hand that is used to wipe oneself with is cut off as punishment for thievery.

And wasn’t it mostly 2R*slacking* when smokers in days passed were always taking a *cigarette break*?

6. Apparently he never took the time to do some research.
Use the internet for crying out loud!!! :s

1. Does Charles read??

7. let’s be fair here
There is some truth to what he said, research the Bible take on man over animals and man over the environment if you aren’t familiar with those comments already. Also I don’t see any value added in your post, do you have any information to share or are you just looking for easy targets?

Have you read the Bible and the Koran?

And at a time when Corporations hold unprecedented amounts of power to thwart ANY legislation they don’t like through bribes (lobbying), and immense damage is being done to the environment, you take cheap shots at someone who shows concern for the environment? Think about it… there’s never been a shortage of people, and it’s quite apparent that we need water, arable land and food, not to mention tons of resources (wood, metal, energy, etc.) to maintain any kind of modern lifestyle. But how many people can a planet with limited resources support in a modern lifestyle? Just for an easy example, the developing world watches TV and sees the “American Dream’ with all of the wealth and conveniences, and they want it. But the resources of the world are not even sufficient for the population of the US to continue to live that way… iow our lifestyle here is unsustainable, and that’s not even considering the rest of the world population. So next time you read that someone in gov’t is concerned about the environment, think twice before taking cheap shots at them, read a few books about it and see how you feel!

1. It is a completely ridiculous contention that criticizing someone who has just essentially endorsed a misogynistic, hateful ideology is a “cheap shot.”

You have no concern about the ideology that this elitist has just suggested everyone follow – you are just worried about me criticizing a major world leader for endorsing it.

Did you skip all of that part about the Jew and women-hatred? That evidently doesn’t bother you at all. None of the animal abuse bothers you either?

So long as the elite lie about something for the “right cause,” it’s a good thing? And empowering the most fascistic religious ideology ever known to mankind is insignificant compared to the benefits the environment will purportedly reap?

1. Where is it
Sure would like it if quotes from the Quran would be attributed. I love to go to the local bookstore and page through the Quran. Really. I’m still looking for the part where the Quran instructs muslims to kill Jews and Christians. The local McChristian Mulisha keep giving me chapters to read, but so far nothing. Can you help me with this?Tnx.

1. Are unable to click on the links I’ve provided in the article above? They have the quotes from the Quran all neatly laid out. They are not hard to find anymore.

8. No, Mike Scirocco, Charles was utterly wrong every step of the way. Islam will never address the environmental problems of the world. Again, just look at all the Muslim nations to find that out. Islam is just another Abrahamic religion and it belongs in the dark ages. It’s embarrassing for anyone to frame Islam as being any sort of environmentally conscious religion ESPECIALLY royalty like Charles.

Mike Scirocco, why would you ask Quinoa if he/she has read the Koran? If you knew much about Pagan religion, Quinoa’s comment makes perfect sense. Paganism has always been far more nature friendly and conscious. The world would be FAR, FAR better off with Paganism than any of the Abrahamic religions on any level.

Yes, most will agree with you Mike, that corporations have much to learn but they are trying to get “green” right now. So, we can change that but if you’re really worried about population, and we all should be then, you should be very concerned about Islam because Muslims are out populating everyone. Currently, they’re building their numbers across most western countries and having several wives making loads of babies all on the dole and taxpayer dime.

So, before you attempt to defend Islam, you may want to inform yourself about Islam and Muslims first.

9. Your Colors Show Through
Acharya S,

I’m sure that if Prince Charles had used the term Christian or Jewish instead of Islam, your article would be the same.

1. Not quite the same, but close to it – I have already written about the anti-environmentalism of mainstream Christianity () in particular.

And your point is?

10. Oh right, mohummad was concerned about the environment, that hilarious!

11. Obviously, the author is a pure blithering idiot as well.

1. Right. I’m a “blithering idiot” because I am against an ideology that teaches women are worth one-half as much – if that – as men, that men are superior to women and have the right to beat them as property, that Jews are “apes and pigs” and that infidels should be slain. Not to mention that kills its apostates and calls for the deaths of people who “insult” it.

Oh, and whose founder was bragged about as having personally arranged for the deaths of hundreds of people, including women’s husbands, whom he then took as sex slaves. This “prophet” also is alleged in the hadiths to have had sex repeatedly with a 9-year-old girl.

Someone who defends this morass of dark age immortality is not a “blithering idiot,” but someone who dares to object to this grotesqueness is a “blithering idiot.

Welcome to topsy-turvy world.

1. Hmmmm
And er the western world, let me see

Playboy, Penhouse, Porn Industry, prostitutes, rapist, gang rape, pedophiles, child abusers, sex industry etc etc

Pleae tell me whre the difference is and which is better?

Everything is the same we as people are pitted against each other, can’t you see that just we don’t ask the real questions?

Think about it.

1. If you can’t see the difference, then you are a blind as a bat. The fact is that most of the human-rights abuses you may point out in the West are highly illegal, whereas they are entirely permissible within Islamic law, which absolutely favors adult males over all other people.

Yes, real questions – like why is Prince Charles endorsing a male-dominant cult bent on global domination and the enslavement of the world’s citizens?

2. Sure they have all that too
You will just never see it unless you are Muslim a male semeiic and in the brother hood or the helpless rabble of women and girls who get sold at auction. If you doubt it just do some research girls are stolen or their father or husband sells them then off to either Israel or Saudi Arabia, Dubai, New Delhi ETC.. But OK they don’t have Harvey Dinglebarry and his Jewish porn industry but they do have harems still and slave girls so they really don’t need porn do they?! Also rapists are in just about every slum or economically challenged area so they have all that too.

12. I thought it was common knowledge that earth based pagan religions like Wicca are far greener and environmentally conscious then all the rest for his words sure sound like thats who he’s talking about. Yes, I have read the Bible a few times (cover to cover) King James, New American Standard and my favorite The Jerusalem Bible with notes and instead of finding clearity and guidence I found inconsistency and ambiguity. I found my way just fine by rejecting all of the Abrahamic cults and joining a participatory nature worshipping one. If there is one thing I learned going through the 29 degrees of the Scottish Rite it’s that wisdom can be found in all religions but as Joseph Campbell says “Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble.” Thank the Goddess for Acharya who is spreading the light of TRUTH. Now I have always had the utmost respect for the environment but what I think pisses Acharya off here is not that Prince Charles is calling for environmental action it’s rather him calling Islam a leader in environmentalism which has nothing to do with the truth of the matter and is very misleading. But isn’t that what Rulers and Governments do?
“I should say much more if I were not afraid of being heard by those who are uninitiated ; because men are apt to deride what they do not
understand; and the ignorant, not being aware of the weakness of their minds, condemn what they ought most to Venerate.” – CYRIL, OF ALEXANDRIA.

13. royals hahaha arent they sp

I love the fact that this JOKE is getting another deserved rip, but let’s be honest- this clown is from a fake royal family who claim to be of the line of David, IE JEWS. So please don’t use his newest ignorant incantation to get in a word to defend the “poor” Jews who this guys family PRACTICALLY run all world wide jewery AND ABSOLUTELY do run the “Judaism for Goys” – Freemasonry.
I am not an Islam love by any means but lets face it – they werent on anybodys hate meter (ok the chosen bt they are also on abouotu anyonen other than their own elite rears) before the 911 FALSE FLAG ATTACKS carried out by the “Allies of Evil” – UK, EU, USA, Israel (YES IN THAT ORDER, though I always find new figures in the shadows, “Queen” of ENgland owns 1/6 of worlds landmass by themselves. The whole group easily is pushing 55+% of ALL WORLD WEALTH. We are talking 50,000 people at MOST whith very few knowing the whole plan). It takes YEARS to find even a smattering of the clues and those of you who want to knock real researchers and call us nutty conspiracy theorists (A THEORY IS OLY A THEORY IF NOOT TRUE, IF ITS TRUE IT MOST ASSUREDLY IS A FACT. FURTHER THE DEFINITION OF A CONSPIRACY IS A CRIME COMMITTED BY MORE THAN ONE PERSON TOGETHER AGAINST A VICTIM. NO!, THAT EVER HAPPENS OTHER THAN EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY) or maybe ask em what puke political party I subscribe to and listen to them throw party talking points at each other parroting the mongoloid talking heads and braindead (but cute) celebs. I hope there is a Good, I really do but if not these people will eventually eat each other anyway. AND THE MORE WE DO NOT PLAY ALONG THE LESS THEY WILL EVER GET ANY CLOSER THAN THEY ARE NOW. All the poor and oppressed , learn your overseer, and together we can let them see how we feel about it. I will not live as a slave, and if its just me out there getting it – OH WELL, I stopped trying to convince anyone long ago. I still want to protect the innocent, but where are they at now? GO to a church and they are OK with one million dead iraqi civilians, they will never get their credibility back after that. I believe in a God that createde all the universe and no I dont think hed think its would be OK for some tribal clan of murderes and thieves to continue to commit daily daily atrocities in his name or any other and I bet the millions who blindly supported it will share some blame and responsibility. YOU TRY WALKIN IN SOMEONE ELSES SHOOES BEFORE YOU JUDGE THEM< unles they leave no doubt that they are redeemable - and this world elite and especially the royal lines that have plagued mankind - HAVE PROVEN THAT AND ITS TIMEE FOR THE PEOPLE TO WAKE UP. AND NO MOORE SECRET CLUBS. I WANT A GIANT MEGOLOTIHIC MOVEMENT THAT WILL NOOT TOLERATE LIESOR INJUSTICE OR POVERTY OR SUFFERING ANYWHERE ANYTIME AND IF THE RESOURCES EXIST TO ROB AND RAPE AND WAGE ENDLESS WARS THEN YOOU CAN SEE THAT PEWOPLE SHOULJD BE ABLE TO HAVE FOOD AND WATER AND SAFE SHELTER BECAUSE THERES MOORE THAN ENOUGH TO GO AROUND IF .0001% of the world didnt decide to even give a tiny fraction back they have stolen. It should be now an entire world of self sufficient small businesss owners doing moral and equally proftable trades and those who will not do so are exclduded , not the other way around. Its time for the best thinkers (no royals or masons or lying beracis please) to devise a plan that will make the worldwide awakening impoossible to stop and each time they bring a new liar our or tell us what we cant do, we say all collectively NOOOOOOOOOOOO

I think you should also read more current and unfiltered news from the site that linked to your story today (RENSE.COM) before you go bringing up the oh poor poor Jew who REALLY DO own almost everything, even if they arent all REAL JEWS (most ARE NOT).

The Windsors claim to be of the Davidic and Merovingian bloodline and that Charles or one of his offsrping will be the “world messiah” or at least until a strong er fake one comes along and says ENOUGH WITH THESE FAKERS – but I wont support him either. MANKIND NEEDS TO BE EVOLE AND BE FREE AND YES THAT INNCLUDES NAMING AND SHAMINNG THE CRIMINALS AND MURDERERS AND THE RACE THAT MANY OF THEM USE AS A COVER FOR OUTRIGHT BLACK MAGIC SATANISM – AND MAKE NO MISTAKE – THE GOAL IS FOR ALL OF US/YOU TO WORSHIP THEIR FAKE LEADER AND THEIR FAKE SYSTEM OR DIE. WE CAN PUT THE PLAN RIGHT IN ITS TRACKS RIGHT NOW, AND STARTING WITH INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE WWINDOSRS FOR WW2 and 911 and the Gulf “spill” and for using a secret cabal of freemasons loyal to england to illegally interfere in our FREE AND INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN REPUBLIC. (AND FREE COLONIES BEFORE THAT)

Need any more proof about UK-controlled freemason power on ameriduh?

Four pages of documented admissions, practically 75% of the “leaders” of our entire nation. Ever wonder why we never quite were free. Thas because the masons are considered good charitable people but instead they are the conspirators in every nation on the globe busy building the plans of monsters like Alice Bailey, Hitler, the “Learned Elders of Zion” (not a fraud), Albert Pike, ALeister Crowley, Zbig, Rockefellers, Rothschilds. They dont want to just own all the world or the the wealth they own you and will next own your thoughts, and heck they already own half of yours. Sickening, really. I am surue this will get erased like all these I take the time to post. Oh Well. The people will never wake up unless they realize literally how much domination politicially Europe has always had over us, London, Brussels, Rome, Berlin etc etc. You people wont ever wake up til yopu realize how many times we have already had to fight these liars and each time they just put in a new mason or shriner or a corrupt blackmailable useful idiot along for the ride. I am ashamed that I am a Castholic majority english but my native american , irish, polish and germans all remind me where the base of evil is – LONDON AND ROME and dont forget that – at least til they fuilly pacl up and move to Jerusalem (or hell maybe Denver lol).

ANyway I’m in favor of anyone who thinks all royaly needs to go and has beenthe real obstacle to human happiness while they take itr all and blame us for being helpless against it. Its time for all aristocracy and all liars trying to enslave and dumb down mankind to be shouted from the internet rooftops on millions of pages until EVERYBODY KNOWS. Then the samwe for the next faily that takes over from there and so on. A grassroots world vigiliant citzenry who stick up for the weak and no longer have their spoils and wealth stolen by laws and corrupt bankers, no more wars for fat cats, if anyone wants the old world order or the new world its qucikly cruished with light and truth and they;lll scatter bvack to their cockroach holes – that goes for you to fake WIndsors (Germanic Hapsburg inbred Nazi sympathetizers and indeeed helped with his rise with the intention of dividing the world into two polar regions where they can ock everything down and use nuclear weapons as threats of terro against nations not interested in bowing down. Then they lower the curtain and we are getting closer to full world communism – everyone broke and a few lucky scions above the rules and take your children if they want them (they do this now, ever hear how many kids really disappear? Its makes me sick every time I see the mason ID bands, Id HATE to see the abduction rates on those. The Priests and masons have full access to schools, churches, jail, any power they want -and they disappear THOUSANDS of kids. DO you want to even thnk where they all migth have gone? What about 50 million plus abortions in 50 years , is that OK?

ANywa thanks for the knock on this donkey, I hope that scandals can rock WIlliam so everyone can drop that poor Diana clone angle thing they have for him. He seems OK now but wait til he finds out his own randfather and grandfathewr and mother killed his mother. WHATS that gonna do to that face that smiles less every day. He knows what this world is. WHat will he choose? He can help or hurt a lot and one to watch. If he knew what his mom was about, then I hope the good that is there can shine. I am not an optimist and DIana loved the cameras too at least til she “figured it out” – she knew and said thee were going to do it, and everybody whos studied it or has half a aclue knows they did. AND she survivied and they finished the job (she was pregant also, likely the reason ole Philip finally pulled the deal. They kill any leader who threatens them. The list of revolutionairies and truthtellers and leaders who have opposed any cog of their machine are suicided and dropped out of the sky mysteriously or sent up to prison on false charges or sent off to some secret camp somewhere. Their crimes certainly could pile to the :heavens” people and 9 out of 10 will tell you ” they have no power. Go USSA, we will WIN, meanwhile the people who stood down norad and planted explosives in the buildings and the media who ran their script and the coverup and bush who read an upside down book for 10-15 minutes while this was all happening. The leaders of their own 911 commmission (not independent but rather by all Bush insiders and Military Industrial Complex were on this panel.) AT least 2 or 3 major chairs of that committee admitted they were stonewalled, llied to, blown off, had their investigations censored, witnesses ignored, a total joke and some of them have already admitted it (Kean, even a Bush lackey knew Bush lied).
I’m done ranting. It is time for everyone unite, but first the ones at the top responsible must be named ands acknowledged by all. ANd study that mason link you will see right away, and masons are hardly the only “secret society” running your “nation” (look up Jesuits and how much oif your education and books and TV programming originates from scripted psyops and mind controllers). This is the British specialty – Tavistick – google it. Now realize Obama was in invention and of the BRITISH at that. Ad he is an accomplioe to all these crimmes especially now the war crimes committed since his election (MORE TORTURE AND CIVILIAN DEATHS AND EVEN LIES AND BAFFOONERY THAN “Herr” Feurhrer BUSH).

I dont care about the typos, good luck to you and Im telling you as an english ex catholic – those two groups united with BIG FAKE JEW MONEY and A THOROGHLY UNEDUCATED AND MISINFORMED PUBLIC BY THE WORLD GREATEST KNOWN PROPAGANADA MEDIA AND LIE SYSTEM YET DEVISED (give them tim) are what hoolds all the glue together. Once you see it you can never go back, it IS like that matrix in that regard and no I wouldnt be shocked at all if we are already imprisoned here. Peace out .

15. Hey “Prince” Charly.

Iran is a small industrial superpower.
So is Saudi Arabia.

Are you doing to much of that heroine you are trafficking in from Afghanistan?

Sorry Chawley, no world genocide on the menu for you tongiht.

16. I’m no fan of Charlie’s, but….
It seems to me that, for once, Charlie got something right. The poster here is obviously part and parcel of the Islamophobia that has swept the western world and India and, obviously Israel, since, at least, 9/11.

I am no muslim, but I can think for myself. The propaganda machine has been working at full tilt to poison the minds of the masses against Islam and the mob reaction has been deafening, but it is based almost entirely on lies. Islam has flaws and strengths just like all of the major religions. Just calm down the rhetoric please.

1. “Islamophobia” is an idiotic term used to shut up critics of women-enslavement and infidel-hatred.

“..the mob reaction has been deafening, but it is based almost entirely on lies…”

And that would be a lie. I have linked plenty of evidence that demonstrates the many flaws of Islam – but what are its “strengths,” pray tell?

There is no monolithic “propaganda machine” doing anything against Islam – in fact, quite the opposite. The MSM is so cowed it hardly says anything. Much of my information comes from studying history, Islamic texts and the writings of ex-Muslims.

You have no concern about the list of atrocities I included – you are more interested in me not discussing them in a straightforward manner.

You may remain calm while the boiling water cooks you, but I will be jumping out of the pot, thank you.

NO one is turning people against islam EXCEPT islam. It is THEIR actions are doing the job. Guess they have YOU fooled…

17. leader of the church of england
he is not just the heir to the throne he is the heir to lead the church of England, which makes his statements really ironic. Is islam to be the one world religion that is foisted upon the people?

18. Off with ‘is ‘ead, I say! Charles, you’ll be happy to know your
son Harry is the future anti-christ, but don’t worry, he’ll get a
headwound, according to Revelation. It’ll be Satan lodged in that
son’s body. Kind of like the demon residing in you, ‘cept more
powerful, course.

19. For once Charles got it right.
Usually I do think of Charles as a buffoon, but despite being antipathetical to the British Royals in general and him in particular, I think for once he got it pretty right.

Of course the problem most people reading this have, is a cultured ignorance of Islam. A head full of nonsense ideas and total hogwash spread in fact by the truly evil one of the three monotheistic religions which has more or less got the other one by the goolies at the moment and things are likely to get messy as hypocrisy has the USA to defend it.

1. Oh bullcrap. Only those who apologize for and appease this violent cult of woman-enslavement and human-hatred are ignorant. Those of us who can see with our own two eyes the endless human-rights abuses of Islam are the ones who are NOT ignorant.

And the Jews – that is what you are trying to say, isn’t it? – are not responsible for the atrocities of Islam, which include the deaths of some 270 million people worldwide (), including some 80 million Hindus ().

Why are you defending this murderous ideology?

1. These numbers are nothing but lies, but since you brought up the issue of Hinduism. Mr Acharya, as you know Hinduism is the most disgusting religion. You know it severely discriminate against milions of Indians and treats them as outcasts, untouchable, also Hindu women are burned alive for failing to pay dowry to her husband. Treatment in Hinduism and human right abuses are well tolerated by you mr Acharia Isn’t it

2. The Evil Cabal
The British Jewish cabal’s goal is to wipe out all traces of authentic African history and heritage, while simultaneously usurping these ancient traditional cultures and identity of Africans to dominate Earth’s civilization through globalization, religions, and man-made laws.

The Abrahamic religions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism) are all creations of white supremacist elites, Hyksos (fake Greeks), Habirus, Khazars (fake jews) and Romans (Albinos). All three religions and Hinduism were created with the same disempowering agenda, which is to undermine and break the individual’s will, thereby enslaving their very soul, leading ultimately to spiritual death.

Prince Philip and Charles, The Queen (Club of the Ilses), The Pope (Vatican, Jesuits), The Ayatollah, Zionists, Bilderbergers (Banksters, CTOs Chief Terrorist Officers, Royal bloodlines, western heads of states) are the movers and shakers behind this diabolical scheme of destroying the mother and father of not just earth’s civilization, but existence itself. So my point is that Charles is not stupid whatsoever, he is utilizing one of the tools of control.

Always believe the opposite of these criminal parasitic elite. It was Charles was the first prominent public figure, to my knowledge, who publicised Nanotechnology. He focused on the negative aspects of this magical technology, while ignoring the positive benefits, which far outweigh the scaremongering Grey Goo scenario. To this day, most people still haven’t got a clue as to how Nanotechnology can solve all our material wealth and health problems. So go figure why this white supremacist will act and speak with such forked tongues.

The great mother is awakening, they are now attacking her with everything they got, HAARP attacks (Haiti earthquake), eco terrorist attacks like this current Gulf oil spill, environmental politics (Philip’s WWF, Al Gore’s global warming hoax, war on terror and drugs, (genocide and human sacrifices), Monsanto big Pharma toturers and executioners (FDA, sellout doctors), government terrorism (police brutality, mass murdering government intelligence agencies, all revenue collectors, ego justice, etc.

It’s a wrap however, but due to their self denial, they cannot go quietly, they intend to take as many souls as then can in their demise.

20. Perhaps Charles has converted.

21. The Cosmic Code, the Torah Code and the Bible Code
The Cosmic Code, the Torah Code and the Bible Code!

22. Who is an idiot? Acharya Skum of course!
Acharya you are the dung eating idiot! You are a low life that has been raped by the devil of Falseness and Hindi Bindi. May you fall out of a gadha in your next reincarnation and become an honored ass among your people in the belly of delhi if you can find your way out. Finally when youdo your people will name you ‘Khotey ki Aulad’ and worship you Skum.

1. Thank you for the lovely display of Muslim civility. Your kind and respectful message perfectly exemplifies the reason why billions of people on the planet do not want anything to do with Islam.

23. ducq
wow. apparently this issue is a ‘live’ one. perhaps we could all wait until the idiots who are working for both sides are proven to be idiots that work for both sides, to make comments?

barring that, could we make comments that support what a comment is supposed to be… a comment?

jews are simply what they are (pretended or not), and the rest of us are simply what we are. i think that that would be a decent place to begin.

because if you’re not human, you have no place on this forum, or on any other. sheesh. get lost.

24. Acharya S – – I agree with you 100+ percent. (AND then some)

25. Thanks
Good article Acharya, thanks. As someone that has had the “pleasure” of having my waiter in Bangkok take out his prayer rug and point his behind at me while I dined…I know what you are saying. Maybe eating at a restaurant named Nefertiti should have been a warning…but damn that is good BBQ. I’d highly recommend it…but don’t go during prayer time, or eat outside.

Anyway…Acharya, it’s your blog, say it how you feel it. I do admit you seem to be a *tad* more vociferous in your criticism of Islam over the other major religions, I commented on it when you wrote about how Egyptians couldn’t be trusted with ancient Egyptian relics returned. And I disagreed. So what, that is just my opinion. That isn’t “defending” Islam in any way shape or form: I detest all modern organized religions. They all have blood on their hands.

On the other hand Acharya, right now, there is a major propaganda push of making another “threatening evil Islamic country” out of a country doing no harm to any other nation, unlike my country, the US.

In point of fact, they are pushing for war with Iran, and without valid cause. If there ever is one for aggressive war.

My country, flat broke, borrowed to the hilt and in a Depression, is spending a $trillion/year on fireworks they can blow up and go “oh, I’m so shocked and awed”, just so happens to be the one threatening…so maybe these days I am a *tad* more sensitive towards demonizing any country, especially Islamic. That was the major aim of 9/11/01: the replacement “Boogieman” required after the USSR fell, and I will not fall for it.

Really, it has nothing to do with Islam, it has to do with these circumstances involved. But it is your blog, just tell me to buzz off if it bugs ya. It relates, because the strength of false myths bind the masses against each other. Enough of this….

Here is something I’d like to hear your opinion on:

Did you happen to see this photo of an 18th dynasty painted coffin? One of 57 recently found in Egypt?

Oh boy, if not, you are in for a treat: The Ankh “circle on top” was a face symbol. No doubt in my mind. Here is your origin of the Ankh and the “Christian” cross.

Here is a “Resurrected” figure, at least 1500 BC, if not 2350 BC.–Archaeology/ss/events/sc/021903anthroarchaeo/im:/100523/481/urn_publicid_ap_org_cab5139de0d54aee9b236821a7ac8bc8/

Enjoy Acharya S.

26. GO beyond….
Divisions lead to schisms.
To move beyond schism, get your think-o-meter provoked, differently

Do. Be. Come.

27. Want to see who is really damaging the environment? BP/Exxon – oil spill. Monsanto – genetically modified crops, cell phone companies – towers. Give credit where credit is due.
Paganism isn’t necessarily superior to any religion, btw. It depends on ‘how’ the religion is practiced. paganism in ancient times was actually quite barbaric, although today’s wicca is quite mild.

28. Most uninformed article. Where did you study, my dear friend? Obviously, not in the same place, where prince Charles did.Too bad for you. Besides,to call a royalty “an Idiot” won’t make you wiser in any way and I’m afraid in this case the real idiot will remain obscure of his own idiocy.

1. Gee, that’s sheer genius. Thanks for wasting our time here with such meaningless blather. In the meantime, people are suffering under Islamic rule.

Persecuted Egyptian Christians speak out against Islamic law ()

2. Idiots can go to fancy colleges if they have enough money or a good enough title, because meritocracy is only for the little, people, dunce.

Example: George Bush went to Yale and Harvard, and he’s still a blithering idiot.

Same with Charles the Idiot.

29. more anti charles propaganda
More anti charles propaganda this energy would be better directed at monsanto or the universal war machine.

There is a concerted effort to bring this man down, is this what we do to people who think out of the box err.. yep..

If he was anti islam pro GM crops, pro ‘conventional medicine’ (this is an orwellian double speak term as there is nothing conventional about it) then he wouldn’t be attacked would he…………………

1. Nice distraction fallacy. This is not “anti-Charles propaganda.” It is one post criticizing his imbecilic endorsement of a women-enslaving and human-hating cult of violent conquest.

Monsanto and the rest are a whole different matter. Please stick to the subject at hand.

30. whos the dimwhit
Unstoppable BP oil spill that will wipe out whole swathes of the ocens food stocks for hummanity. 60% of world bee population dead, gone, theyt pollinate your food, No guys, you are the dimwhits. Check out the pictures from the gulf.

1. “whos the dimwhit”

Possibly the person who can’t spell “dhimwit” and who is trying to distract of the issue at hand?

Yes, of course, we are VERY concerned with the environmental degradation all around. But Charles isn’t helping at all by endorsing people to follow a demented male-dominant cult that enslaves women and beheads non-believers.

31. HRH seems to be on the right track.

What I find hilarious is the blithering waffle that precedes all those quotes which purport to show how evil the koran is.

Let any evil show for itself in the text, otherwise it just demonstrates desperation on the part of the critic if they have to *work* to show that it is evil.

Case dismissed.

1. Please stop being ridiculous. You are in patent denial about the true nature of Islam and obviously know next to nothing about it.

Your opinion is therefore useless. Case closed.

1. Acharya S

Listen to yourself

you are so full of hatred, insults, and darkness the language you use, phew, so entrenched in the shadow self, let go of your ego, I feel sorry for you and the people around you. May be you will work it out one day. Check out a bit of Jung you might find him useful.

Also this is anti Charles propaganda he is consistently attacked because he speaks out against the major corporations do the research, join the dots, you can’t see past the socialist inspired hate of elitism, if you understood where this come from you would realise how we are all being manipulated.

Check out the Frankfurt School, Marx and freud see how we have been worked.

I look forward to your rude response because I know you won’t be able to come up with anything civilised, you probably think being civilised is elitist ho hum

1. I’m sorry, but piling on with the other people personally attacking me over the fact of the world becoming Islamized is really not a particularly intelligent or civil stance, so please do not pretend to have the moral upper hand.

In the meantime, while you are venting your spleen at me in an utterly meaningless manner because I am none of those things you are ranting about, innocent men, women and children are being abused by this sick cult.

Thank you for wasting our time here with foolish calumny while someone could be helped.

I just love how people in denial like to distract off the sobering and painful issue at hand by attacking the people who are concerned. It’s very beneficial to the growth of humanity. 😡

1. This is the whole speech – try reading it…… its easier to be racist then to try and understand. This site is called freethought nation but you are simply regurgitating the mainstream medias opinion on Islam. You say I’m attaking you but this whole site is a record of you personally attacking loads of people

Read the speech properly, its pure ignorance to jump to the assumptions that you are without reading it – because clearly you haven’t.

This bloody minded racism of yours justifies the killing of millions in the Islamic world – you think this is ok? whatever happened to the
Sovereignty of nations, the Geneva convention etc

A speech by HRH The Prince of Wales titled Islam and the Environment, Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

9th June 2010

Vice Chancellor, Your Royal Highnesses, Director, Ladies and Gentlemen.

It is a very great pleasure for me to be here today to help you celebrate the Oxford Centre’s twenty-fifth anniversary. Whereas bits of your Patron are dropping off after the past quarter of a century, I find quite a few bits of the Centre still being added! However, I cannot tell you how encouraged I am that in addition to the Prince of Wales Fellowship, the number of fellowships you now offer continues to grow and also that this Summer you will welcome the fifth group of young people on your Young Muslim Leadership programme which is run in association with my charities. This is a vital contribution to the process of boosting the self-esteem of young Muslims – about whom I care deeply.

It has been a great concern of mine to affirm and encourage those groups and faith communities that are in the minority in this country. Indeed, over the last twenty-five years, I have tried to find as many ways as possible to help integrate them into British society and to build good relationships between our faith communities. I happen to believe this is best achieved by emphasizing unity through diversity. Only in this way can we ensure fairness and build mutual respect in our country. And if we get it right here then perhaps we might be able to offer an example in the wider world.

I am slightly alarmed that it is now seventeen years since I came here to the Sheldonian to deliver a lecture for the Centre that tried to do just this. I called it “Islam and the West” and, from what I can tell, it clearly struck a chord, and not just here in the U.K. I am still reminded of what I said, particularly when I travel in the Islamic world – in fact, because it was printed, believe it or not, it is the only speech I have ever made which continues to produce a small return!

I wanted to give that lecture to address the dangers of the ignorance and misunderstanding that I felt were growing between the Islamic world and the West in the aftermath of the Cold War. Since then, the situation has both improved and worsened, depending on where you look. Certainly the sorts of advances made by the Oxford Centre have helped to build confidence and understanding, but we all know only too well how some of the things I warned of in that lecture have since come to pass, both here and elsewhere in the world. So it is tremendously important that we continue to work to heal the differences and overcome the misconceptions that still exist. I remain confident that this is possible because there are many values we all share that have the powerful capacity to bind us, rather than what happens when those values are forgotten – or purposefully ignored.

Healing division is also my theme today, but this time it is not the divisions between cultures I want to explore. It is the division that poses a much more fundamental threat to the health and well-being of us all. It is the widening division we are seeing in so many ways between humanity and Nature.

Many of Nature’s vital, life-support systems are now struggling to cope under the strain of global industrialization. How they will manage if millions more people are to achieve Western levels of consumption is highly disturbing to contemplate. The problems are only going to get much worse. And they are very real. Whatever you might have read in the newspapers, particularly about climate change in the run up to the Copenhagen conference last year, we face many related and very serious problems that are a matter of accurate, scientific record.

The actual facts are that over the last half century, for instance, we have destroyed at least thirty per cent of the world’s tropical rainforests and if we continue to chop them down at the present rate, by 2050 we will end up with a very disturbing situation. In fact, in the three years since I started my Rainforest Project to try and help find an innovative solution to tropical deforestation, over 30 million hectares have been lost, and with them this planet has lost about 80,000 species. When you consider that a given area of equatorial trees evaporates eight times as much rainwater as an equivalent patch of ocean, you quickly start to see how their disappearance will affect the productivity of the Earth. They produce billions of tonnes of water every day and without that rainfall the world’s food security will become very unstable.

But there are other facts too. In the last fifty years our industrialized approach to farming has degraded a third of the Earth’s top soil. That is a fact. We have also fished the oceans so extensively that if we continue at the same rate for much longer we are likely to see the collapse of global fisheries in forty years from now. Another fact. Then there are the colossal amounts of waste that pollute the Earth – the many dead zones where nothing can live in many major river estuaries and various parts of the oceans, or those immense rafts of plastic that now float about in the Pacific. Would you believe that one of them, off the coast of California, is made up of 100 million tonnes of plastic and it has doubled in size in just the last decade. It is now at least six times the size of the United Kingdom. And we call ourselves civilized!

These are all very real problems and they are facts – all of them, the obvious results of the comprehensive industrialization of life. But what is less obvious is the attitude and general outlook which perpetuate this dangerously destructive approach. It is an approach that acts contrary to the teachings of each and every one of the world’s sacred traditions, including Islam.

What surprises me, I have to say, is that, quite apart from whether or not we value the sacred traditions as much as we should, the blunt economic facts make the predominant approach increasingly irrational. I imagine that few of you are familiar with the interim report of the United Nations study called The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity Study which came out in 2008. It painted a salutary picture of what we lose in straightforward financial terms by our destruction of natural systems and the absence of their services to the world. In the first place they calculated that we destroy around 50 billion dollars worth of a system that produces these services every year. By mapping the loss of those services over a forty year period, their estimate is that, in financial terms, the global economy incurs an annual loss of between 2 and 4.5 trillion dollars – every single year.

To put that figure into some sort of perspective, the recent crash in the world’s banking system caused a one-off loss of just 2 trillion dollars. I wonder why the bigger annual loss does not attract the same kind of Media frenzy as the banking crisis did?

This should demonstrate the flaw in the sum that does not need an Oxbridge mathematician to understand – that Nature’s finite resources, divided by our ever-more rapacious desire for continuous economic growth, does not work out. We are clearly living beyond our means, already consuming the Earth’s capital resources faster than she can replenish them.

Over the years, I have pointed out again and again that our environmental problems cannot be solved simply by applying yet more and more of our brilliant green technology – important though it is. It is no good just fixing the pump and not the well.

When I say this, everybody nods sagely, but I get the impression that many are often unwilling to embrace what I am really referring to, perhaps because the missing element sits outside the parameters of the prevailing secular view. It is this “missing element” that I would like to examine today.

In short, when we hear talk of an “environmental crisis” or even of a “financial crisis,” I would suggest that this is actually describing the outward consequences of a deep, inner crisis of the soul. It is a crisis in our relationship with – and our perception of – Nature, and it is born of Western culture being dominated for at least two hundred years by a mechanistic and reductionist approach to our scientific understanding of the world around us.

So I would like you to consider very seriously today whether a big part of the solution to all of our worldwide “crises” does not lie simply in more and better technology, but in the recovery of the soul to the mainstream of our thinking. Our science and technology cannot do this. Only sacred traditions have the capacity to help this happen.

In general, we live within a culture that does not believe very much in the soul anymore – or if it does, won’t admit to it publicly for fear of being thought old fashioned, out of step with “modern imperatives” or “anti-scientific.” The empirical view of the world, which measures it and tests it, has become the only view to believe. A purely mechanistic approach to problems has somehow assumed a position of great authority and this has encouraged the widespread secularisation of society that we see today. This is despite the fact that those men of science who founded institutions like the Royal Society were also men of deep faith. It is also despite the fact that a great many of our scientists today profess a faith in God. I am aware of one recent survey that suggests over seventy per cent of scientists do so.

I must say, I find this rather baffling. If this is so, why is it that their sense of the sacred has so little bearing on the way science is employed to exploit the natural world in so many damaging ways?

I suppose it must be to do with who pays the fiddler. Over the last two centuries, science has become ever more firmly yoked to the ambitions of commerce. Because there are such big economic benefits from such a union, society has been persuaded that there is nothing wrong here. And so, a great deal of empirical research is now driven by the imperative that its findings must be employed to maximum, financial effect, whatever the impact this may have on the Earth’s long-term capacity to endure.

This imbalance, where mechanistic thinking is so predominant, goes back at least to Galileo’s assertion that there is nothing in Nature but quantity and motion. This is the view that continues to frame the general perception of the way the world works and how we fit within the scheme of things. As a result, Nature has been completely objectified – “She” has become an “it” – and we are persuaded to concentrate on the material aspect of reality that fits within Galileo’s scheme.

Understanding the world from a mechanical point of view and then employing that knowledge has, of course, always been part of the development of human civilization, but as our technology has become ever more sophisticated and our industrialized methods so much more powerful, so the level of destruction is now potentially all the more widespread and un-containable, especially if you add into this mix the emphasis we have on consumerism.

It was that great scientist, Goethe, who saw life as the masculine principle striving endlessly to reach the “eternal feminine” – what the Greeks called “Sophia,” or wisdom. It is a striving, he said, fired by the force of love. I am not sure that this is quite the way things happen today. Our striving in the industrialized world is certainly not fired by a love of wisdom. It is far more focussed on the desire for the greatest possible financial profit.

This ignores the spiritual teachings of traditions like Islam, which recognize that it is not our animal needs that are absolute; it is our spiritual essence, an essence made for the infinite. But with consumerism now such a key element in our economic model, our natural, spiritual desire for the infinite is constantly being reflected towards the finite. Our spiritual perspective has been flattened and made earthbound and we are persuaded to channel all of our natural, never-ending desire for what Islamic poets called “the Beloved” towards nothing but more and more material commodities. Unfortunately we forget that our spiritual desire can never be completely satisfied. It is rightly a never-ending desire. But when that desire is focussed only on the earthly, it becomes potentially disastrous. The hunger for yet more and more things creates an alarming vacuum and, as we are now realizing, this does great harm to the Earth and creates a never ending unhappiness for many, many people.

I hope you can just begin to see my point. The utter dominance of the mechanistic approach of science over everything else, including religion, has “de-souled” the dominant world view, and that includes our perception of Nature. As soul is elbowed out of the picture, our deeper link with the natural world is severed. Our sense of the spiritual relationship between humanity, the Earth and her great diversity of life has become dim. The entire emphasis is all on the mechanical process of increasing growth in the economy, of making every process more “efficient” and achieving as much convenience as possible. None of which could be said to be an ambition of God. And so, unfashionable though it is to suggest it, I am keen to stress here the need to heal this divide within ourselves. How else can we heal the divide between East and West unless we reconcile the East and West within ourselves? Everything in Nature is a paradox and seems to carry within itself the paradox of opposites. Curiously, this maintains the essential balance. Only human beings seem to introduce imbalance. The task is surely to reconnect ourselves with the wisdom found in Nature which is stressed by each of the sacred traditions in their own way.

My understanding of Islam is that it warns that to deny the reality of our inner being leads to an inner darkness which can quickly extend outwards into the world of Nature. If we ignore the calling of the soul, then we destroy Nature. To understand this we have to remember that we are Nature, not inanimate objects like stones; we reflect the universal patterns of Nature. And in this way, we are not a part that can somehow disengage itself and take a purely objective view.

From what I know of the Qu’ran, again and again it describes the natural world as the handiwork of a unitary benevolent power. It very explicitly describes Nature as possessing an “intelligibility” and that there is no separation between Man and Nature, precisely because there is no separation between the natural world and God. It offers a completely integrated view of the Universe where religion and science, mind and matter are all part of one living, conscious whole. We are, therefore, finite beings contained by an infinitude, and each of us is a microcosm of the whole. This suggests to me that Nature is a knowing partner, never a mindless slave to humanity, and we are Her tenants; God’s guests for all too short a time.

If I may quote the Qu’ran, “Have you considered: if your water were to disappear into the Earth, who then could bring you gushing water?” This is the Divine hospitality that offers us our provisions and our dwelling places, our clothing, tools and transport. The Earth is robust and prolific, but also delicate, subtle, complex and diverse and so our mark must always be gentle – or the water will disappear, as it is doing in places like the Punjab in India. Industrialized farming methods there rely upon the use of high-yielding seeds and chemical fertilizers, both of which need a lot more energy and a lot more water as well. As a consequence the water table has dropped dramatically – I have been there, I have seen it – so far, by three feet a year. Punjabi farmers are now having to dig expensive bore holes over 200 feet deep to get at what remains of the water and, as a result, their debts become ever deeper and the salt rises to the surface contaminating the soil.

This is not a sustainable way of growing food and maintaining the well-being of communities. It does not respect Divine hospitality. The costs it incurs will have to be borne by those who will inherit what is fast becoming the ruined and frayed fabric of life. So for their sake, we have to acknowledge that the immediate, short-term financial benefits of our predominant, mechanistic approach are too expensive to continue to dominate our way of life.

This happens when traditional principles and practices are abandoned – and with them, all sense of reverence for the Earth which is an inseparable element in an integrated and spiritually grounded tradition like Islam – just as it was once firmly embedded in the philosophical heritage of Western thought. The Stoics of Ancient Greece, for instance, held that “right knowledge,” as they called it, is gained by living in agreement with Nature, where there is a correspondence or a sympathy between the truth of things, thought and action. They saw it as our duty to achieve an attunement between human nature and the greater scheme of the Cosmos.

This incidentally is also the teaching of Judaism. The Book of Genesis says that God placed Mankind in the garden “to tend it and take care of it,” to serve and conserve it for the sake of future generations. “Adamah” in Hebrew means “the one hewn from the Earth,” so Adam is a child of the Earth. In my own tradition of Christianity, the immanence of God is made explicit by the incarnation of Christ. But let us also not forget that throughout the Christian New Testament, Christ often refers to Himself as “the Son of Man” which, in Hebrew, is “Ben Adam.” He, too, is a “son of the Earth,” surely making the same explicit connection between human nature and the whole of Nature.

Even the apocryphal Gnostic texts are imbued with the same principle. The fragments of one of the oldest, ascribed to Mary Magdalene, instructs us that “Attachment to matter gives rise to passion against Nature. Thus, trouble arises in the whole body; this is why I tell you; be in harmony.” In all cases the message is clear. Our specific purpose is to “earth” Heaven. So, to separate ourselves within an inner darkness, leads to what the Irish poet, WB Yeats, warned of at the start of the Twentieth Century. “The falcon cannot hear the falconer,” he wrote, “things fall apart and the centre cannot hold.”

The traditional way of life within Islam is very clear about the “centre” that holds the relationship together. From what I know of its core teachings and commentaries, the important principle we must keep in mind is that there are limits to the abundance of Nature. These are not arbitrary limits, they are the limits imposed by God and, as such, if my understanding of the Qu’ran is correct, Muslims are commanded not to transgress them.

Such instruction is hard to square if all you do is found your understanding of the world on empirical terms alone. Four hundred years of relying on trying and testing the facts scientifically has established the view that spirituality and religious faith are outdated expressions of superstitious belief. After all, empiricism has proved how the world fits together and it is nothing to do with a “Supreme Being.” There is no empirical evidence for the existence of God so, therefore, Q.E.D, God does not exist. It is a very reasonable, rational argument, and I presume it can be applied to “thought” too. After all, no brain scanner has ever managed to photograph a thought, nor a piece of love, and it never will. So, Q.E.D., that must mean “thought” and “love” do not exist either!

Clearly there is a point beyond which empiricism cannot make complete sense of the world. It works by establishing facts through testing them by the scientific process. It is one kind of language and a very fine one, but it is a language not able to fathom experiences like faith or the meaning of things – it is not able to articulate matters of the soul. This is why it consistently elbows soul out of the picture.

But we do have other kinds of “language,” as Islam well knows, and they are much better at dealing with the realm of the soul and matters of meaning. Each is a different aspect of our language, in fact. Each deals with different aspects of the truth and if you put empiricism, philosophy and the spiritual perception of life together, just as the Islamic tradition at its best and richest has always done, then they tend to complement each other rather well.

Take the difference this made in the Ninth and Tenth Centuries, as an example, during the so-called “Golden Age of Islam.” It was a period which gave rise to a spectacular flowering of scientific advancement, but all of it was underpinned by an age-old philosophical understanding of reality and grounded in a profound spirituality, which included a deep reverence for the Natural world. Theirs was an integrated vision of the world, reflecting the timeless truth that all life is rooted in the unity of the Creator. This is the testimony of faith, is it not, embodied in the contemplative implication of the formless essence of the Qur’an’s haqîqa? It is the notion of Tawhîd, the oneness of all things within the embrace of the Divine unity.

Islamic writers express it so well. Ibn Khaldûn, for instance, who taught that “all creatures are subject to a regular and orderly system. Causes are linked to effects where each is connected with the other.” Or the great Shabistâri in Fourteenth Century Persia, who talked of the world being “a mirror from head to foot, in every atom a hundred blazing suns where a world dwells in the heart of a millet seed.” Words that resonate, don’t you think, with William Blake’s famous lines, “to see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower.”

Other Western poets have captured this truth too. William Wordsworth, perhaps one of the greatest of all our Nature poets, describes “a sense sublime of something far more inter-fused… a motion and a spirit that impels all thinking things, all objects of thought and rolls through all things.” I quote the poets because they help us identify this “sense sublime” and inspire reverence for the created world.

Reverence is not science-based knowledge. It is an experience always mediated by love, sometimes induced by it; and love comes from relationship. If you take away reverence and reduce our spiritual relationship with life, then you open yourself up to the idea that we can be little more than a chance group of isolated, self-obsessed individuals, disconnected from life’s innate presence and un-anchored by any sense of duty to the rest of the world. We are free to act without responsibility. Thus we turn a blind eye to those islands of plastic in the sea, or to the treatment meted out to animals in factory farms. And it is why the so-called “precautionary principle” is so often thrown out of the window.

This is the principle that would make us think twice if, say, we were to climb into a vehicle that happens to have a ninety per cent chance of crashing. Instead, because the danger is not proven beyond doubt, we think it is safe to embark upon the journey. This is how we proceed in many significant fields – in matters like genetic modification or climate change. We go on denying that there may be side-effects, even if our intuition warns us to be cautious, or even if there is some related evidence. Recently, for instance, the news emerged that, for the fourth year in a row, more than a third of honey bee colonies in the United States failed to survive the Winter. More than three million colonies in the U.S. and billions of honeybees worldwide have died. Scientists say they are no nearer to knowing what is causing this catastrophic collapse, but there is plenty of evidence that modern pesticides have played their part. Given that bees, like nearly every other bug, are insects, I would have thought it was rather obvious. And yet we carry on with a narrow-minded, mechanistic approach to industrialized farming with all its focus on high yields at whatever price. So we lace the fields with pesticides that kill insects. It is quite bizarre how we continue to entrust our food security to the very substances that are destroying the harmonic cycle which produces our food. It really is a form of collective hubris and I often wonder if those who practise such well-exercised scepticism in these matters will ever see that “the Emperor is wearing no clothes?”

This, then, is why the wisdom and learning offered by a sacred tradition like Islam matters – and, if I may say so, why those who hold and strive to preserve their sacred traditions in different parts of the world have every reason to become more confident of their ground. The Islamic world is the custodian of one of the greatest treasuries of accumulated wisdom and spiritual knowledge available to humanity. It is both Islam’s noble heritage and a priceless gift to the rest of the world. And yet, so often, that wisdom is now obscured by the dominant drive towards Western materialism – the feeling that to be truly “modern” you have to ape the West.

To counter that tendency I have done what I can with my School of Traditional Arts to nurture and support traditional and sacred craft skills – not least those of Islam – because they keep alive a perspective that we sorely need, even though short-term fashion deems them to be irrelevant. The geometry and patterning that are taught at the School are the basis of the many crafts that have been all but abandoned in many parts of the world, including the Islamic world. It is a tragedy of monumental proportions that they are being forgotten because they reflect the spiritual mathematics found everywhere in Nature. As Islam teaches very specifically, it is a patterning that reflects the very ground of our being. It is the Divine imagination, so to speak; the ineffable presence that is the sacred breath of life. As the Seventeenth Century mystic, Ibn Âshir, puts it, by the practice of these arts you “see the One who manifests in the form, not the form by itself.”

For many in the modern world this is hard to understand because the view of God has become so distorted. “God” is seen as being, somehow, outside “His” creation, rather than part of its unfolding – what the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, called “the force that through the green fuse drives the flower.” Being the principle that underlines the Cosmos, the Cosmos is the result of God knowing it and of it knowing the uncreated God. Notice the emphasis there on “un”-created. It is of profound importance. The basis of all existence is in this relationship.

I suspect the reason why this is such an unfashionable view is that the deep-seated experience of participation in the living, creative presence of God is offered to us in all traditions not by empiricism, but by revelation. This is a rare and precious gift and only given to those whose supreme humanity and capacity for great humility achieves a mastery over the ego. It comes at the moment when “the knower and the known” become one – the moment when the mind of Man comes into union with the mind of God.

This, of course, is not deemed possible from an empirical point of view, but revelation is a very different kind of knowing from scientific, evidence-based knowledge, and I cannot stress the point strongly enough; by dismissing such a process and discarding what it offers to humankind, we throw away a very important lifeline for the future.

I must say, once you do blend the different languages – the empirical and the spiritual together as I am suggesting, and as I have been trying to say for so long – then you do begin to wonder why the sceptics think the desire to work in harmony with Nature is so unscientific. Why is it deemed so worthwhile to abandon our true relationship with the “beingness” of all things; to limit ourselves to the science of manipulation, rather than immerse ourselves in the wider science of understanding? They seem such spurious arguments, because, as Islam clearly understands, it is actually impossible to divorce human beings from Nature’s patterns and processes. The Qur’an is considered to be the “last Revelation” but it clearly acknowledges which book is the first. That book is the great book of creation, of Nature herself, which has been taken too much for granted in our modern world and needs to be restored to its original position.

So, with all this in mind, I would like to set you a challenge, if I may; a challenge that I hope will be conveyed beyond this audience today. It is the challenge to mobilize Islamic scholars, poets and artists, as well as those craftsmen, engineers and scientists who work with and within the Islamic tradition, to identify the general ideas, the teachings and the practical techniques within the tradition which encourage us to work with the grain of Nature rather than against it. I would urge you to consider whether we can learn anything from the Islamic culture’s profound understanding of the natural world to help us all in the fearsome challenges we face. Are there, for instance, any that could help preserve our precious marine eco-systems and fisheries? Are there any traditional methods of avoiding damage to all of Nature’s systems that revive the principle of sustainability within Islam?

To give you an idea of what I mean, let me offer a few examples drawn from the work done by my School of Traditional Arts, where project workers have shown that re-introducing traditional craft skills brings a coherence to peoples’ daily lives, perhaps because they fuse the spiritual with the practical.

Since I founded it, the School has helped restore these skills in places as far afield as Jordan and Nigeria. It also helps to build bridges within communities in this country which have suffered the worst fractures. In Burnley in Lancashire, for instance, project workers have been teaching children from many backgrounds an integrated view of the world using the patterns of Islamic sacred geometry. This has not just inspired the imagination of the children taking part, but their teachers too. They tell me they have discovered a much more integrated approach to education, where maths and art are not alien to one another, but are seen as two sides of the same coin and directly rooted in Nature’s patterns and processes.

In Afghanistan, I have only recently managed to see the work being done under the umbrella of what we have called “the Turquoise Mountain Foundation” – an initiative I launched some four years ago – which is running similar education programmes and craft training courses. It is also helping with the urban regeneration of the old historic quarter of the city by guiding people to start businesses using the craft skills they have learned.

For example, in the building of schools, people are being shown how to use mud-bricks which are a quarter of the price of the concrete blocks used by other agencies. They are also resistant to earthquakes, whereas concrete is not. And they cope much better with extremes of temperature – mud-brick buildings are cooler in the Summer and warmer in the Winter. What is more, they use local labour and local, natural materials. So these schools are a good example of how traditional wisdom blends with modern needs. After all, you can still use computers and other modern technology in a mud-brick building! And more comfortably, too, given it is more suited to local conditions.

When I finally did manage to reach Kabul earlier this year – after several years of trying – what I saw was truly remarkable. It proved to me that teaching and employing traditional crafts is an effective way of re-introducing the kinds of techniques that are benign to the natural environment. They are also capable of restoring a cultural balance in peoples’ minds. By encouraging a wider celebration of the traditional, ancient culture of Afghanistan, these skills help in a very practical way to counteract the oppressive effects of extremism in all its forms, both religious and secular. This is how traditional wisdom works. It is not a theory or a science written down. Its wisdom is discovered through practice and in action.

These are schemes that are close to my heart, but the Oxford Centre keeps me informed of many others. Working in Muslim countries, the World Wildlife Fund has found that trying to convey the importance of conservation is much easier if it is transmitted by religious leaders whose reference is Qur’anic teaching. In Zanzibar, they had little success trying to reduce spear-fishing and the use of dragnets, which were destroying the coral reefs. But when the guidance came from the Qur’an, there was a notable change in behaviour. Or in Indonesia and in Malaysia, where former poachers are being deterred in the same way from destroying the last remaining tigers.

And it is not just such interventions that are important. It is mystifying, for instance, that the modern world completely ignores the time-honoured feats of engineering in the ancient world. The Qanats of Iran, for example, that still provide water for thousands of people in what would otherwise be desert conditions. These underground canals – unbelievably 170,000 miles of them – keep the water from the mountains moving down the tunnels using gravity alone. And the water in every village is then kept fresh by the way the storage towers keep the air flowing freely, moved by the wind.

In Spain, the irrigation systems constructed 1200 years ago also still work perfectly, as does the way in which the water is managed by the local population – a way of operating devised before the Muslim rule in Spain disintegrated. The same sorts of Islamic management schemes operate in other parts of the world too, like the “hima” zones in Saudi Arabia which set aside land for use as pasture. These are all examples of how prophetic teaching, in this case framed by the guidance of the Qu’ran, maintains a long term view of things and keeps the danger of a self-interested form of short-term economics at bay.

I am sure that if an organization like the Oxford Centre could help to establish a global forum on “Islam and the Environment” many more very practical, traditional approaches like these could become more widely applied. They may range from science and technology to agriculture, healthcare, architecture and education. Think what could be achieved if mothers and fathers, the teachers in madrassas and Imams, all sought to demonstrate to children how to translate Islamic teachings into practical action – how to blend traditional knowledge and awareness of Nature’s needs with the best of what we know now.

This is certainly something I feel we have to do in the one final issue I have to mention as I close. Perhaps a few facts and figures might demonstrate why.

When I was born in 1948, a city like Lagos in Nigeria had a population of just three hundred thousand. Today, just over sixty years later, it is home to twenty million. Thirty-five thousand people live in every square mile of the city, and its population increases by another six hundred thousand every year.

I choose Lagos as an example. I could have chosen Mumbai, Cairo or Mexico City; wherever you look, the world’s population is increasing fast. It goes up by the equivalent of the entire population of the United Kingdom every year. Which means that this poor planet of ours, which already struggles to sustain 6.8 billion people, will somehow have to support over 9 billion people within fifty years. In the Arab world, sixty per cent of the population is now under the age of thirty. That will mean, in some way or other, 100 million new jobs will have to be created in that region alone over the next ten to fifteen years.

I am well aware that the very long term prediction is that population may go down. 150 years from now the trends suggest there may be as few as four billion people, maybe even just two billion, but there is no getting away from the fact that in the short term, in the next fifty years, we face monumental problems as the figures rocket. No mega-city can ever hope to catch up with the present expansion in their numbers to provide adequate healthcare, education, transport, food and shelter for so many. Nor can the Earth herself sustain us all, when the demands and pressures on her bounty worldwide are becoming so intense.

I know it is a complicated issue. The experts suggest that, in theory, the Earth could support 9 billion people, but not if a vast proportion is consuming the world’s resources at present Western levels. So the changes have to be essentially two-fold. It would certainly help if the acceleration slowed down, but it would also help if the world reduced its desire to consume.

I have been following carefully the findings of my British Asian Trust in India which has been helping to run a women’s education project in a drought-prone region of Maharashtra called Satara. They have noticed that a real difference can be made when women are able to become more involved in the running of the community. This is also the experience in Bangladesh. I have long been fascinated by Muhammad Yunus’s Grameen Bank of Bangladesh. It operates micro-credit schemes that offer loans to the poorest communities through a bank which is now ninety per cent owned by the rural poor. Interestingly, where the loans are managed by the women of the community, the birth rate has gone down. The impact of these sorts of schemes, of education and the provision of family planning services, has been widespread. Whereas in the 1980s, the average family in Bangladesh had six children, now the average figure is three. But with mega-cities growing as they are, I fear there is little chance these sorts of schemes can help the plight of many millions of people unless we all face up to the fact more honestly than we do that one of the biggest causes of high birth rates remains cultural.

It raises some very difficult moral questions, I know, but do we not each one of us carry the same responsibility towards the Earth? It is surely time to ask if we can come to a view that balances the traditional attitude to the sacred nature of life on the one hand with, on the other, those teachings within each of the sacred traditions that urge humankind to keep within the limits of Nature’s benevolence and bounty.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have endured all this with patience and fortitude. You have also given a very good impression of listening to my own personal thoughts on the perspective opened up by Islamic teaching. I have wanted to convey them to you because it always moves me to be reminded that, from the perspective of traditional Islamic teaching, the destruction of the Earth is represented as the destruction of a prayerful being.

Whichever faith tradition we come from, the fact at the heart of the matter is the same. Our inheritance from our creator is at stake. It will be no good at the end of the day as we sit amidst the wreckage, trying to console ourselves that it was all done for the best possible reasons of development and the betterment of Mankind. The inconvenient truth is that we share this planet with the rest of creation for a very good reason – and that is, we cannot exist on our own without the intricately balanced web of life around us. Islam has always taught this and to ignore that lesson is to default on our contract with Creation.

The Modernist ideology that has dominated the Western outlook for a century implies that “tradition” is backward looking. What I have tried to explain today is that this is far from true. Tradition is the accumulation of the knowledge and wisdom that we should be offering to the next generation. It is, therefore, visionary – it looks forward.

Turning to the traditional teachings, like those found in Islam that define our relationship with the natural world, does not mean locking us into some sort of cultural and technological immobility. As the English writer G.K. Chesterton put it, “real development is not leaving things behind, as on a road, but drawing life from them as a root.” I would also remind you of the words of Oxford’s very own C.S. Lewis, who pointed out that “sometimes you do have to turn the clock back if it is telling the wrong time” – that there is nothing “progressive” about being stubborn and refusing to acknowledge that we have taken the wrong road. If we realize that we are travelling in the wrong direction, the only sensible thing to do is to admit it and retrace our steps back to where we first went wrong. As Lewis put it, “going back can sometimes be the quickest way forward.” It is the most progressive thing we could do.

All of the mounting evidence is telling us that we are, indeed, on the wrong road, so you might think it would be wise to draw on the timeless guidance that comes from our intuitive sense of the origin of all things to which we are rooted. Nature’s rhythms, her cycles and her processes, are our guides to this uncreated, originating voice. They are our greatest teachers because they are expressions of Divine Unity. Which is why there is a profound truth in that seemingly simple, old saying of the nomads – that “the best of all Mosques is Nature herself.”

32. “What Islamic “spiritual principles,” Charles? The ones embodied in the Koran and other Islamic texts that say Jews are “apes and pigs” who should be hunted down and slaughtered? Or the Koranic verses that dictate all non-Muslims must be murdered or that otherwise incite Muslim followers to violence? Or how about the Koranic scriptures and commentaries that say women are worth one-half or less then men, that men are their superiors and essentially own them as property?”

“Replace here Islamic with Jews or Talmud and its the same thing, and politicians suck up to jews all the time, so whats the difference????

33. Islam does green.
Interesting article. Must agree the xians I’ve meet or been around don’t give much thought to the environment in desciplines of hunting – humanatarian aide. Never understood this new judeo xtian thing about helping third world populations: develop, grow corn, utilise variant water supply and demand procedures, wipe out all malaria, etc. Seeing this unwise use of technology has done more harm to world demographics( environment) over the last 100yrs.

I do think it unfair for you to stereotype Prince Charles as a dope because he made some arguments about Islam and their take on the environment. Me thinks he’s a dope because he has let his country become a third world melting pot of multicultural, diverse lemmings, of which most European Brits are against.

Please, next time you put put quotes about Islam please make sure you mention jews and their reverance for the environment, which might be likened to a mindless utopian consumerist population( could we be there yet)! Also, might be wise to suggest what they say about Europeans xtians in their learned books of the talmud.

1. It’s not just this article that paints him as a dope. He’s a known moron in the UK. Heck, he’s a dope about ten things before breakfast. Don’t even ask how many he’s a dope about the rest of the time.

34. None of these religions make sense. They just provide a division of ideology and one more stupid reason for all of us to hate each other.

Islam is not a vile religion; it teaches nothing worse than the Judeo/Christian values. I mean:

Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king’s son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. 1 Samuel 18:27

This is rational behavior?

So I guess given these high moral standards its okay for the Jews to refer to the rest of us as Goyim, meaming cattle of course.

This fight is far older than any of us. And we in the Western hemisphere may never understand it.

35. Hmmm…
The result of too much in-breeding, no doubt?

36. RE: “royals” hahaha arent they “sp – 12
That rant by : “royals” hahaha arent they “sp – 12, is absolutely right, read it, comprehend it, and wake up you poor SOB’s

38. Thank you for saying, and you know who you aren’t
I read responses and it brings tears to my eyes, when I read that some see the truth to the lies. It makes me proud to know that some people still care enough to think, about the obvious treachery that pulls us all down the sink. To all good people, I give you my praise, for cutting through fog and seeing the clear skies through the haze. Keep in your minds that there are others out there, who know the truth and honestly care.

39. prince charles is an blithering idiot?
Acharya is lying again in her anti islam tirades by claiming muslims murdered over 80 million hindus and 270 million other people with no proof whatsoever to back it up!

the greatest mass murderers in history have been her favourite people the jews, readl ilan papes books on the subject! after all the russian revolution was done by them resulting in over 125 miilion deaths, more then hitler in any way or means.
genocide was done by stalin against ukrainian christians resulting in over 12 miilion deaths by starvation, and yes before you ask me stalin was a jew!

we all know the result of christian crusaders in history, the inquistion, the mass murder of indians by the british, mass killing of the aborigines and chinese in the opium wars. most recently the false and illegal wars based on lies spread the jewish zionists to create anti muslim hatred between christianity and islam by carrying out false flag attacks in christian countrys and then blaming muslims leading so far to the deaths of more then 5 million muslims in last 10 years alone!!

these are some of the statistics your christian and jewish authors state to be true.

the main issue is according to acharya that everything is wrong with islam and not her kind of peoples perversions in the world. the muslims are butchered, maimed, murdered, tortured, raped(including men)disappearances,bombed,renditioned,robbed.pillaged.and yet they are guilty of crimes and not you western bastards!!

the israeli terrorist state has over 200 nuclear weapons which it tried to sell also in 1975 to south african apartheid killers like themselves but iran is guilty and not israel???

iran has signed the NPT and not israel but iran is guilty not israel. freedom flotilla was hijacked by israeli terrorists in international waters and people murdered in cold blood but they are not responsible but muslims are??

your kind of perverted thinking belongs to you acharya as it is based on false notions and hate, if you care so much for women to be free. i told you once before, in china they kill over 10 million females every year go and free them and i will support you in donations for a good act!

as for those anti muslim haters out there, nematallah shah wali was a muslim saint 900 years and he prophesied events to come by name, date and time and so far all have come true to the letter. google nematallah shah wali and see what he has written on the fate of your armys and countrys, can you afford not to???

1. No, I am not lying, but apparently you are unable even to follow the link I conveniently provided with all the numbers broken down for you to follow easily. Please tell the descendants of those 80 million Hindus viciously slaughtered by your fellow religionists () that they are also “lying.”

You have been deluded by a cult of enslavement of death, and you are the one spreading lies about it. It does not endear the thinking people of the world when you come out and libel others such as calling me a liar, when it is clear that you are brainwashed and have no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to Islam.

Since I did not make it up, I cannot be accused of “lying,” except for by brainwashed individuals who have lost their moral compass.

2. You are a deluded hate monger
You are a liar and deny what you have done and blame all the ills you suffer on others instaed of looking at yourself. You say – “please see beyond hate you ordinary people and recognise the hate causers!” ISLAM IS THE HATE CAUSER. If people have just recently become anti islam it is because of what they see the PRACTIONERS of this “religion” doing. They have finally woken up after 9-11. The barabarism of this “religion” has been going on for CENTURIES. You LIE and DENY the truth.

40. PHEH
You think all that Muslim/Koran trashtalking is something, the TALMUDIC sh*t is worse and is additionally laced with a cosmic heap of narscissistic schizophrenia about being God’s chosen race. What god? The god of sh*t?

1. Yes, we know all about the Talmud, but the fact is that the Talmud is not held up as “God’s word” by 1.5 billion people.

Quotes on Judaism ()

41. You can call it what you want, but the figures will remain the same: Muslim fanatics have slaughtered some 270 million people worldwide, including some 80 million Hindus. I have already provided the evidence:

270 million murdered in the name of Islam, including 80 million Hindus ()

“Yet I have to find out the facts that the author has written here.I am sure he has not read quran……how can you discuss any book if you have not even read it?peace to all”

You haven’t looked very hard. I have provided links to my contentions, including to the Koran – which it should be quite obvious I have read, many times in fact. Indeed, the following article is mine, written over a decade ago, after I’d already read the Koran several times:

Quotes from the Koran ()

Perhaps it’s time for you to actually read the Koran? If it’s too difficult for you to do that, you can watch this video:

Fitna ()

42. And your comments would be as false as many others here. You obviously do not know what you are talking about, but you are mindlessly parroting the Islamist party line. If the quotes are merely “taken out of context,” then they certainly ARE in the Koran, aren’t they? So, that’s lie number 1. Lie number 2 is that they are “taken out of context.” That’s an old Muslim apologist ruse that we’ve come to expect.

The reason Jeff can’t find them is because he hasn’t tried – and neither have you, apparently. If Jeff were knowledgeable about the subject, he would already know where these quotes are – and if he were competent, he could have clicked the links to see them for himself. You are siding with whatever incompetency you can find that will shore up the falsehoods you have been programmed with, evidently.

Instead of wasting time here spreading lies and nonsense, why don’t you talk to your evident co-religionists about how THEY take all these Koranic quotes “out of context” to murder, rape, rob and enslave others?

In the meantime, for those who would like to learn more about Muslim apologetics and how it teaches people to spread the same falsehoods, please read this article:

How to Debate a Muslim ()

“As for the comments on the article and Acharyas language
skills are concerned, they fall far below the leterary standards.”

I see, you are barely literate yourself, but you go around making derogatory remarks about others’ language skills. By the way, the whole “you need to learn Arabic” ruse is another Muslim apologist tactic that is completely false.

Here is Dawood’s translation with the Arabic next to it:

The Koran with Parallel Arabic Text ()

1. More on the “out of context” apology:
Salafi Islamic texts demonstrate Muhammad’s uncompromising nature. They encourage devout Muslims to emulate the prophet’s deeds and to accept and defend his actions in even the harshest passages. When confronted by outsiders, however, these same Muslims insist that such stories are misinterpreted because they are taken out of context – though they rarely, if ever, provide the context. This self-protective denial effectively paralyzes further criticism by the West. Meanwhile, these texts are taught and understood in a very literal way by both the young members of Jamaah and many other Muslims.
From: The Development of a Jihadist’s Mind ()

In Shiite Islam, lying to infidels in order to further Islamist/Ummahist goals is called “taqiyya ().”

43. Give me a break
Notice that this “Acharya S” person posts her “facts” regarding Quranic verses from “jihadwatch”? how about if one were to post Talmudic verses from “jewwatch”, would that be just as “factual”? here is the Quran in its entirety and it is not from some well known and infamous muslim hating website.

For all its shortcommings, Islam, like other Abrahamic religions, ARE infact peaceful. For if Islam was as violent, barbaric and evil as this disingenuous “Acharaya S” person claims it is, then why haven’t the 1.5 billion muslims of the world began their jihad–beheading, raping, murdering, everyone who is non muslim? I have yet to come across any violent, bigoted, misogynistic muslims–and I have come across many in my life time. Generalizing all muslims based on the actions of smaller groups is disingenuous at best, and pathetic at worst.

It is important to note that much of the Islamic worlds practice of opressive laws is actually not based on the tenets of Islam but rather based on ancient tribal laws, which were then integrated into the religion itself. Take the time to study such things on your own, instead of relying on biased and flawed sources such as this “free thought nation” (yeah right) website and this Acharaya S person, who obviously has an agenda of her own. Free thinkers do not need to conflate, construe or twist facts. Free thinkers are not agenda driven.

1. Gee thanks, Matty, for the slew of bullsh*t that I now have to address. First of all, it is an absolute lie that I get my facts about the Koran exclusively from Jihad Watch. Most of the links in this post are NOT from Jihad Watch, and the only one that is, is about the Jews as apes and pigs. I used that link because it was convenient and well done, but I can easily post to the Koran itself.

If you had bothered to check out the other links, you would see that they too go to either the Koran itself or other Muslim or authoritative sites, so your comments are completely false.

Quotes from the Koran ()

Please stop defending this depraved cult of women-enslavement and human-hatred.

44. justvisitingtheplanet

Ya see???
I knew that eventually all of that elitist inbreeding would produce a bonafide imbecile.

45. i call this bullcrap acharya……………… many million hindu women and other population died at the hand of muslims?Prove it !I am amazed at how naive people are!I fsomething bothers me I would like to search for it with all available sources instead of becoming opinionated on my (not even) half information obtained from my surroundings. On one hand you understand that the media is absolutely under control of zionists and on the other hand the hatered and misinformation they are pouring on one group of people is so easy to take.People…… get inthe habbit of thinking and questioing and searching for information available from biased sources which are working hard to spread hate.No religion in the world teaches to hate people.I am muslim and I have read my religion more than any other religion.Yet I have to find out the facts that the author has written here.I am sure he has not read quran……how can you discuss any book if you have not even read it?peace to all

46. Dear Jeff
You cant find the refrences learned Acharea has mentioned

explanations are his understanding of the Quran if he has

47. “First of all, it is an absolute lie that I get my facts about the Koran exclusively from Jihad Watch”—You are correct. However regarding the other sources you posted, they are not much different than Jihadwatch; their credibility is equally dubious as they are similarly motivated by a common hatred and disdain for Islam. How about you find those supposed Quranic verses in the source I gave, which is directly from the Quran?

“Please stop defending this depraved cult of women-enslavement and human-hatred”—Please stop spreading disinformation and hatred against Islam. I have noticed that you seem fixated solely on either lambasting Islam, or christianity. Some “free thinker” you are. How about other religions? I have yet to see you discuss the sectarian violence between christians and hindus in India, which has left tens of thousands of dead christians–who are forced to either convert or die; however I hear constantly of your bemoaning and demonizing of the Islamic and christian faith. Also, I have yet to read your criticism of the Buhddist treatment of the Tamil people, a conflict which has seen to the outright slaughter and subjegation of thousands ofTamil people. It always seems to be “muslims are barbarians, christians are idiots”. Or what about the inhuman treatment of Palestinians by the so-called “jewish” state of Israel, where it is premissable by the ultra religious fanatics amongst orthodox jews to “destroy the amalekite”? again it seems to be “muslims this, christians that”.

In conclusion, I fail to see the rationale for demonizing the Islamic faith, which has over 1 billion followers throughout the world. Do you wish to change their minds? to enlighten them? to lead them to civlization? well if so, why use such dirty tactics? calling them “fools, misogynists, evil, stupid, depraved cult” etc is hardly a constructuve way of changing peoples minds. If rather your goal is to merely vent some pent up frustration and anger you have towards Islam, then so be it; you can join the countless others who use the internet for just that sort of thing.

1. “However regarding the other sources you posted, they are not much different than Jihadwatch” Another ridiculous statement. The sources I use are as varied as can be – including quotes from the Koran itself.

As I say, please stop defending this human-hating cult – you are only contributing to its spread and destruction of true human civilization. Your absurd attempts at psychoanalyzing me for detesting such a disgusting ideology are merely a reflection of your own ignorance of the subject matter.

Nor do you know my work very well. Yes, I am a FREETHINKER, which means I can see clearly what all manmade ideologies. I have spent the last 15 years online critiquing ALL religious ideologies whenever they need to be addressed. Right now, Islam is the most pressing threat to our freedoms, but you are obviously not concerned about that – only about me expressing my insights into this serious problem.

The smart thing to do would be to laud those who have the insight, knowledge and courage to speak out against this appalling cult, which has its eye toward total global domination. Instead, again, you are contributing to their effort by attacking those who can see clearly what is going on. Please stop wasting my time.

48. Weak
“Another ridiculous statement. The sources I use are as varied as can be – including quotes from the Koran itself”–You know whats ridiculous? your continual insistence that your sources are legitimate, yet upon closer scrutiny the opposite is true. Please use the source I gave, which is the actual Quran–if you are so certain that the book contains supposed verses (Also, verses must be taken into their full context will help in gaining a better understanding of the entirety of the text).

“As I say, please stop defending this human-hating cult – you are only contributing to its spread and destruction of true human civilization”–what is this “true” civilization? could you be any more vague. Is the “True civilization” the one that wages war on defensless and sovereign nations? a nation that revels in materialistic decadence, pornography, and violence? that pollutes our waters, airs and food? that objectifies woman and even young girls as sex objects? is that the “true civilization”?

“Right now, Islam is the most pressing threat to our freedoms”–aboslutely ridiculous. Where is your proof of this? are you going to try to persuade thoughtful and knowledgable people that small pockets of Islamic extremists pose a direct threat to the western world? you sound like some european right wing nut job—Geert Wilders would blush.

“Your absurd attempts at psychoanalyzing me”–It’s called calling out bullsh*t when I see bullsh*t. Nothing to do with psychoanalysis. You are making fallicious statements, gross generalizations and conclusions based on half baked and paranoid delusions.

“The smart thing to do would be to laud those who have the insight, knowledge and courage to speak out against this appalling cult, which has its eye toward total global domination”—The smart thing to do with to avoid reading websites by pseudo intellectuals and wannabe “free thinkers” such as yourself. What you espouse is pure hyperbole and pure hubris.

I agree, this has been a complete waste of time. From now on I will warn others about your bunk website, and to avoid its faulty and hate filled content. I will.

1. Matty, just knock it off with the Islamist lies. We can all see through them.

The Koran I have been using is COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE. () All you are doing is playing the role of the lying Muslim apologist engaging in taqiyya (). Fortunately, many people are learning to see through this rubbish.

You need to grow a conscience, son.

49. 😛 What planet are you from?

1. Let’s see – the planet where we don’t torture and enslave women under disgusting, tyrannical ideologies. If you aren’t cool with that, perhaps you can find another planet?

50. Might not be too far off the mark…!
Old Charles might not be far off the mark in his comment about Islam being friendly to the environment. The first Muslim Caliph after Mohammad, Abu Bakar, charged his armies who were invading Syria to “Destroy no palm trees, nor burn any fields of corn; cut down no fruit trees, nor do any mischief to cattle, only such as you kill to eat.”

Compare these orders with Revelations 9:2-4:

“He opened the long shaft of the Abyss, and smoke like the smoke of a huge furnace puffed out of the long shaft, so that the sun and the atmosphere were darkened by the smoke from the long shaft.

“Then out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth, and such power was granted them as the power the earth’s scorpions have.

“They were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only to attack such human beings as do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

“They were not permitted to kill them, but to torment them for five months; and the pain caused them was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a person.”

According to Walid Shoebat’s book, “Why I Left Jihad,” “the Hebrew word for locust is Arbei and in Arabic is Arbi; also, the Arabian Desert is teeming with locusts because of its climate. Thereofre, this is a befitting image. Islam does not permit the destruction of trees or green things.”

The killing of women, children, infidels, blowing things up, decapitation and other forms of mahem and destruction are perfectly ok and religiously sanctioned by Allah, but this can all be done while staying “green” and “environmentally friendly.” 👿 😡

51. charles blithering ididot!
i believe that what this palestinian wrote sums it all up for acharya the liar and her kind!Thank you

So, let me get this straight:

You tear my veil to free me

You jail me to rid me of my terror

You kill my beloved to liberate me

You shoot my baby to erase my misery

You starve me to show me how to vote

You threaten me to bring me to my senses

You wage war on me to help me find peace

You slay my people to teach me compassion

You humiliate me to aid me live with dignity

You insult me to illustrate freedom of speech

You crush my bones to save me from my evil

You demolish my home to elevate my morality

You torture my children to teach me how to love

You uproot my tree to raise my ethical standard

You steal my resources to bring me social justice

You assassinate my leaders to bring me democracy

You destroy my history to educate me about progress

You dehumanise me to coach me into humanity

You bomb my town to train me into security

You wipe me out to push me to civilisation

You scorn my faith to bring me salvation

Thank you sir

How can I -ever- pay you back?

1. abubaqar, please take your women-enslaving cult cheerleading elsewhere, as I will not be putting through any more of your infidel-hating diatribes. You need to grow a conscience, become educated and stop following this cult of death founded by a man who repeatedly raped a 9-year-old girl.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated ‘Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
1. And, by the way, as I have repeatedly shown in the past, you are the one who is lying about Islam – and yet you continually call others liars. Islam has made you completely lose your integrity, sir. Are you friends with Anjem Choudary, by any chance? Or are you just so very ignorant about the very cult you follow that you do not even know you are spreading lies about it?

For example, you rant on and on about ME “lying” about Aisha being 9 years old when Mohammed began raping her. And just above, I have presented the evidence from Islamic texts. And there are many more, but apparently you are going to deny that these hadiths are true.

That is what Islam is all about – denial, taqiyya, kitman, whatever it takes to fool the infidel.

Like I say, you need to grow a conscience. Perhaps if you read this article about how someone has become a jihadi you might recognize where you were have been brainwashed.

The Development of a Jihadist’s Mind ()

52. There’s a book I recall reading during my university years titled The Unsustainable Prince, written by a lady whose name I’ve forgotten. The premise is what drew me in, wherein she called him one of the “heads of the Beast, which has not yet been crowned or given any power”. If you guys ever find it, I highly suggest you take a good look.

Since I am Consciousness/Energy, I find Religion itself abhorrent. Forcing people who are infinite Consciousness having a human experience to view reality in a certain way, when they are ALL REALITIES, is beyond ridiculous and goes well into the criminal. The Universe in all its unfathomable glories can’t be contained within religion. Have you seen a picture containing a number of galaxies? For me that just screams possibility and truth! This being styling himself a “prince” is actually related to the Prophet Mohammed! No wonder he was sucking up…he was just going back to his roots!

1. I find that people tend to gravitate toward religions that suit their internal beliefs and attitudes regardless of what is out there. You may find religion to be abhorrent, but religion apparently is a part of human experience. It will stay so until science and spirituality replace it. And I mean real science and spirituality – not pseudo science and another false religion which people can see through as such.
Religion often serves a social and spiritual purpose within society – without it a void is created and nature abhors a void. Something must replace it. And that something must solve the problems of society. If it doesn’t, then there will be rebellion and a new religion will come about to challenge it.

53. the jews book would open the eyes of of most the bible thumpers & what they really think of the goy. It seems the sheeple in US have thier head stuck-up the telly. To “muse” is to think, “amuse”is not to think
RE;amusement =to amuse the people. Dumbing down is the least
offensive formula for retaining power.

54. Andreyez Andronowski

Organized religion is the problem. Human beings, no matter what part of the planet they were born in, have spiritual yearnings.

Psychopaths and sociopaths have hijacked this characteristic of the hominids of this planet to their own ends.

Islam, Judaism and Christianity are all guilty of crimes that defy any human sense of right and wrong.

A carnivore kills primarily to eat and to survive. Animals kill one another to protect territory for survival.

Humans kill each other for, survival ???? Rarely. It’s mostly about taking what the other has out of greed and avarice. Early Jewish, Muslim and Christian history reveals this. ALL in the name of god. The same god, by the way.

C’mon, Acharya S, let’s hear it about Judaism. You’ve covered Islam and Christianity plenty. Your omission tells volumes.

1. The contention that I have not dealt with Judaism is a ridiculous claim that can only emanate from someone who does not know or understand my work very well at all.

All one needs to do is a search on my site here, which searchs all of my sites, including my forum, to see how much I have written about Judaism.

55. charles the blithering idiot!
the prophet mohammed was not a beast or devilish as acharya the liar portrays him or others. anyone can check his life which is openly written about by his contemporarys and enemies of his time and ALL called him the most truthful, honest, trustworthy and respectful model citizen of their community.

if any man or woman is known by his deeds then his deeds speak for themselves in his conduct, caring of orphans, widows and his setting up a state against all odds, this is what lamartine the historian had to say about him in france:

acharya has not published other emails i have sent written by jewish rabbis vindicating the prophet mohammed about his alleged misdeeds with aisha , his wife and her age etc. acharya the liar wants to give you a one sided perverted view which she considers to be true according to her own devilish mind. the rabbi,s after research have concluded that he is not guilty by historical records if that means anything to anyone or acharya the liar. i dare her to publish what i have sent plus prophecys of nematallah shah wali for all to see and to make their own minds up about what is written.
acharya has also accused me wrongly of knowing extremists, i am a single man who will stand up for truth against any religion or wrong doing person , my faith islam teaches me to hold truth for that is next to piety.

its too often we muslims see people like acharya the liar nowadays. telling lies, causing bad intentions. doubts, suspicions and general mischief in society instead of living and let live!
the victims are mostly muslims so far in the world at the hands of non-believers so acharya should focus on who is doing this mass killing which is not muslims but her kind of devilish people who have an agenda to fulfill, which they cannot except by causing dissension is society and making muslims viliefied.

sir george bernard shaw put it in simple words:

please see beyond hate you ordinary people and recognise the hate causers!

1. I’m sorry, abubaqar, but all your constant anger and hate speech directed at me does is reveal what a lousy cult you are brainwashed by. It has made you completely anti-social to the point of pathology, which is only too common with those brainwashed by Islam, as much of the world unfortunately knows by now ().

You constantly smear me when all I am doing is citing the Koran and other Islamic texts () – so if I am lying, then they are lying. You are saying that your own religion and sacred texts are full of lies?

You have been badly abused and brainwashed, and you are frankly a terrible example of your faith, because you not only libel me but you seem to have no capacity to control your anger – and this is precisely what jihadis have been programmed to do:

The Development of a Jihadi Mind ()

There are many places where you can receive assistance for your psychological problems, but posting repeated calumny and libel here will not help you.

Here is one place you should try to find community: ()

Good luck.

56. Don’t worry all you haters out there, it’s just part of the manipulation we are undergoing at this time – just the opposite side of it to your own. It will all end up where it is meant to with a one-world religion after you have helped to eradicated all current ones. Well done my friends, you serve your masters well.

1. Haters? Are you referring to those who use “sacred texts” to claim that they are superior to others and can beat them, such as:

“Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme.” Koran 4:34

Or how about the haters of infidels?

“When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them.” Koran 9:5

Or the rest of the hate speech in the Koran ()?

57. Was the prince simple trying to send a message to the R family that controls half the world and isn’t doing a good job? Who owns Bp? Who owns England? Who wants to own the world? Icke is right! Thank you Icke. Islam should respect women more than they do. Maybe that is why they try to cover them up because they worship them more than Allah. Bless him and her.

58. Yes, I think he’s right….. Way to go Charlie boy.

Also I think the Qur’an is right. Jews are apes and pigs, don’t you see?

59. blight
I can’t speak for Prince Charles but I certainly agree with him that nature needs to be better protected. Also that over population is now threatening the world wildlife.
Especially in third world countries. the population needs to be curbed via contraceptives or other measures.
As far as Islam goes I do not subscribe to it’s writings they are as bad as the Talmudic literature.
I live in Heaven beauty and natural splendor is all around me.
the wild life is plentiful and the population of humans is low.
I live in a sane country which is the second largest country in the world.
and it has only 33 million people.
I can say with certainty too many countries are threatening their species of animals and the oceans today.

60. I also found this:
He was born in 1948, the same year that Israel became a modern nation. He is a prince of the ancient people who came and destroyed the temple in Jerusalem – the Romans. His lineage chart traces to every great world leader including King David; he is referred to as the “son of David.” His name can be calculated to the numerical value of 666 by the ancient Hebrew method in both English and Hebrew. His calling card visually presents the composite beast made from the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion. His power, throne, and great authority have been given to him by a red dragon. He wants to lead the European Union (the ancient Roman Empire) and have dominion over all nations. His name is Prince Charles of Wales. He is the leading candidate to be the prophesied antimessiah.
When Satan made his second temptation offer to Messiah Yeshua, he offered the world in all its glory.
And he [the devil] led Him [Yeshua] up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore if You worship before me, it shall all be Yours.”
Luke 4:5-7
Yeshua turned down the offer of the devil to worship him as God. However, someone else is prophesied to accept the devil’s offer. He is called the antimessiah (antichrist). Yeshua called him the son of perdition (destruction). He will come not to do the will of God but of himself. He will not have power of his own, but he will have influence and others will give their power to him. The Scriptures say that all the leaders of the world will commit adultery (get in bed) with him. He will be the false shepherd leading the world to a three and half year time period known as the Great Tribulation.
Bible students and prophecy speakers have all wanted to know who he is. The antimessiah is the second most prominent person prophesied to come after the Messiah Himself. Identifying the antimessiah, seeing him in your lifetime means two great things: the end of the age Great Tribulation (the last three and one half years) is soon coming, and the Messiah is coming right after to usher in His Kingdom. The Scriptures say that the antimessiah will come to power and rule for 42 months. It also says that his kingdom will be destroyed by the coming of the Messiah. Identifying the antimessiah is one of the most intriguing puzzles in end time Bible prophecy.
Some prophecy enthusiasts say it can’t be done; i.e., no one can identify the antimessiah. Some say that we will be raptured before he emerges. Others tag every public leader in the world as him. Remember when Henry Kissinger was said to be the antichrist because of his statement “Peace is at hand” at the end of the Vietnam war. If you made the letter “A” equal six and then added six to each succeeding letter (- equals 12, C equals 18, etc.), then “Kissinger” equaled 666.
Or, how about Ronald Wilson Reagan (each name has six letters each). Or how about William Jefferson Clinton, whose transliterated name in Hebrew equaled 666 by the gematria. And then there was Bob Dole, his crippled right arm from a war injury seemed to match the antichrist prophecy of a withered right arm. There have been a host of others: the Pope, Russian leaders, the Secretary General of the UN, the list goes on and on. In prior generations, everyone knew that Hitler was it. So if someone says, “Hey, did you know Prince Charles of Wales is the antichrist,” why should anyone give serious attention to them?
Let’s be honest. If you go to another believer (with any prophecy interest) and suggest that Prince Charles is the antichrist, then he will accept your idea right along with UFO alien abductions, one world conspiracy warnings of the illuminati, a hot internet rumor about some girl who dated a terrorist just before the attack, investing in gold coins, long-term storage of wheat in buckets, and the cow jumping over the moon. If the person you speak with has no interest whatsoever in end time prophecy, your suggestion of Prince Charles as the antichrist will confirm his worst suspicions of you being just plain “nuts.” He will end the conversation with a cock-eyed look and the words, “Oh really. I need to go now.” Further, saying Prince Charles IS the antichrist is outright slander and one of the most despicable things you can say of any public figure.
But aren’t you saying that Prince Charles of Wales is the antimessiah in this article? No. I’m saying that he fits more identifying prophecies about the antimessiah than any other person in history. When and if Prince Charles receives the prophesied 42 months to rule, then we can proclaim it to everyone. All doubt will have been removed. By the way, that’s the reason for this article. It appears that the European Union is contemplating some changes in their executive leadership and Prince Charles just might make a very interesting move into its leadership. Of course, there are some other prophecies that need to be met as well, but it is not inconceivable for all of these events to transpire soon. Before we examine what might be, let’s examine what is already known about Prince Charles and review some of the identifying prophecies of the antimessiah.
The Number of His Name
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
Revelation 13:18
This is one of the most fascinating and intriguing verses in all prophetic Scripture. This verse has caused more Bible teachers and students to chase their tails than any other verse. How do you calculate the number? Obviously, each letter must have a numerical value, but what value is correct for each letter?
The answer to these questions comes from an understanding of the ancient classic languages of Hebrew and Greek. As you may recall, the numbers we use today are Arabic or Roman numerals. Like Hebrew and Greek, English has no numerals of their own. In ancient times, before there were Arabic and Roman numerals, a simple decimal system was used for each letter. That is, the first ten letters were given the value of one through ten in ascending order. The next letter, however, was not an eleven, but instead, twenty. Thereafter, each letter was ten more (20, 30, 40, etc). At one hundred, the letter incremented by 100’s, (200, 300, 400, etc). Both Hebrew and Greek contain 22 letters. So, the greatest value of any letter (Tav in Hebrew, Omega in Greek) was 400. The ancients simply used letters in place of numbers to indicate numerical values.
Archaeology has found, for example, where a man etched a secret message in stone by saying, “I love the girl whose name equals 545.” It is a very simple system and can easily be adapted to English as well.
When John wrote his prophecy giving the value of 666 to the name of the beast (antimessiah), the ancients had no difficulty understanding the intent. This would be a confirmation of a particular name and would help in the identification process. The key word calculate also adds to the mystery as it is more technical than the simpler word Acount.” The word Anumber” in the Greek is “arithmos.” The origins of the word “arithmetic.” To sum it up (excuse the pun), this verse of Scripture emphasizes that wisdom and understanding must be employed to draw a proper conclusion. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding…
In 1982, I purchased my first personal desktop computer. It was a giant calculator. Since I was Hebrew, I also knew how the letters represented certain values. I was also a writer and aware of the origins of our English letters and language out of the ancient languages. For example, the first Hebrew letter is an aleph, Greek is alpha, and English is just plain “A.” The English alphabet originates from Greek (alpha beta) and the Hebrew (aleph bet). I was curious as to whether the gematria (numerical values for each letter) would yield any interesting results.
With the help of a friend more adept in computer programming, we wrote a computer program that would calculate the numerical value (gematria) for English. I limited the system only to the first 22 letters as the ancients had done (Hebrew and Greek only have 22 letters). Once the program was written, I was able to type in all the names for all world figures past and present, calculating the gematria for each with computer accuracy. I had no expectation whatsoever for anyone when I started entering names. I already knew Kissinger wasn’t the antichrist.
Then it happened. I entered the name “Prince Charles of Wales.” The value displayed was 666. Have you ever heard of an experience called, “tunnel vision.” It is a real thing. My mind focused so hard that my vision contracted to an area limited to the numbers themselves. I thought I was passing out. No matter how many times I entered the name, the calculation was the same. Then it hit me. He is a Prince just as the Scripture says.
Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
Daniel 9:26
The prince who is to come must be of Roman origin. It was the Romans who came and destroyed the temple and Jerusalem. The antimessiah must come from the fourth great beast described by Daniel B the Romans. Daniel later describes how the prince comes to power. He must do so while being a prince, not a king.

And in his place a despicable person will arise, on whom the honor of kingship has not been conferred, but he will come in a time of tranquility and seize the kingdom by intrigue.
Daniel 11:21
Prince Charles is a prince of the people who came and destroyed the temple and Jerusalem. The honor of kingship has not been conferred upon him and his name equals 666 in English (the common language of our world) using the ancient gematria method.
But that’s not good enough for me, I’m Hebrew. I need to see his name in Hebrew calculated to the gematria. For that I had to go to Israel and find an authoritative source for translating his name into Hebrew. I ended up following how the Israeli press writes his name in the Hebrew newspapers. “Nasich Charles Mem Wales” is the name as pronounced in Hebrew. Refer to the chart shown here and you can compare the English and Hebrew names with the corresponding calculations. The statistical odds are astonishing. The name “Prince Charles of Wales” in the modern accepted form of Hebrew calculates to 666 as well.
Let me remind you of a childhood story that will illustrate how astonishing this fact is. Remember, the story of Robin Hood and the archery contest? First, an arrow is shot at a great distance striking the bullseye on the target. This is what the first calculation of Prince Charles to the English adaptation of the ancient gematria. Next, Robin Hood shot his arrow splitting the first arrow into the bullseye. This is the second calculation of Prince Charles translated into Hebrew and then calculated to the same value.
You won’t have any name of another public figure in the world whose name equals 666 in English or Hebrew. Nor, can you find another name of anyone in the world whose English name equals one value, translate it then into Hebrew and calculate to the same value as before the translation. I think this one fact about Prince Charles makes him worthy of much greater observation.
Consider this also. Charles means “man” or “manly.” Revelation 13:18 says that the number 666 is that of a “man.” I could substitute the name Charles for the word “man” and it would mean the same.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a [Charles]; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
Revelation 13:18
His Calling Card
And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
Revelation 13:1-2
Symbols and symbolic language frighten most readers of Bible prophecy. Who knows what the symbols mean? From an interpretative standpoint, the fear is that anything can fit any symbol by anyone with enough effort. But for most, the real mistake works like this. If the symbol seems good; it must be about us. If it seems bad; it must be about our enemies. Mutant creatures with “ten horns and seven heads” and a “beast” made of different body parts must be bad, right? So, most folks lay a heavy value judgment on it and begin adapting it to their preconceptions.
The writer of the Revelation says he saw something. Most prophecy teachers claim that this is symbolic and want to offer their preferred meanings to the symbols. What if they are wrong and it is not symbolic at all? What if it is something actually seen and it has been there in front of us for years? What if it is something viewed as honorable in our world and just a common thing?
When you meet a prominent or important person, you will receive their card. It is called a business card. It has the correct spelling of the person’s name, their position and company name, along with address, phone number, e-mail address, and fax number. This is the common way you meet a person. However, when you meet Prince Charles of Wales, his business card is full of symbols. It is called his coat-of-arms. This set of symbols is reserved strictly for him and is controlled by the college of heraldry. It is his ancient calling card.
The coat-of-arms for Prince Charles is full of history and great meaning. It is the ancient way of identifying the royal families originating from the Holy Roman Empire. Refer to the diagram showing the coat-of-arms of Prince Charles.
I don’t have sufficient space to explain all the meanings in his coat-of-arms, but I do want you to take note of the “heraldic beast” and the “dragon” in it. The beast is a composite creature depicting the past: the body is that of a leopard, the feet are from a bear, and the head (mouth) is that of a lion. The past emperors of the Roman empire were from France (leopard), Germany (bear), and England (lion). This is the definition of the Heraldic Beast from the college of heraldry and its has existed for the past 500 years. It also matches the exact description as seen by the Apostle John in the book of Revelation.

The dragon comes from the flag of Wales. Prince Charles of Wales is more than just a name. It is the title of the heir apparent B the next in line for kingship. The red dragon dates back to the ancient Romans. Britannia was the head of the western Roman Empire and the symbol of Roman antiquity was a red dragon. It is also the symbol that was seen by John to give the beast his power, throne, and great authority. The day that Prince Charles received his title as the Prince of Wales and his named officially changed to Prince Charles of Wales, he was surrounded by banners of this red dragon at a castle in Wales. This is why his coat-of-arms depicts the symbol in a supporting role.

There is much more that could be said but time and space prohibit it further. Should you wish to delve more into his other symbols, I recommend the book, The Antichrist and a Cup of Tea, by Tim Cohen. Lion and Lamb Ministries offers this book. What you will discover is that every symbol in the coat-of-arms lines up with the Scripture. Is it an incredible coincidence or did John see and warn us?
Before we leave all these symbols lets address the kingdom symbolized by the ten horns and seven heads. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. First, let’s let the Bible explain the meaning of the ten horns and seven heads.
Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. And the beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction. And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast.
Revelation 17:9-13
Just like Revelation 13:18, these prophecies require some wisdom to properly understand. First, let’s clear up the obvious. The seven mountains are a reference to Rome. The kingdom of the beast (antimessiah) will originate from Rome B the ancient Holy Roman Empire. The woman is a reference to the false bride of the Messiah (the false church). Everyone is aware that the Christian (Catholic) church is headquartered in Rome. I know, I know, you are all thinking that it doesn’t represent us good Christians (us protestant types). However, Protestant means protesting Catholic. So, it is the headquarters of the Christian church. It also is the parliamentary headquarters for the European Union.
The reference to seven past kings (five have fallen, one is, and the other not yet come who remains a short while) is a historic description of the Holy Roman Empire. There have been seven Charles= as Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire. World Book Encyclopedia and other reference documents summarize the history of the Holy Roman Empire by these seven kings. This is a historical fact. But what makes this prophecy such a puzzle is its reference to the beast being “also an eighth, and is one of the seven.” The answer is simple and right before us. They all have the name Charles B Prince Charles will be the eighth when he rules over the ancient Holy Roman Empire (the modern European Union). How is he one of the seven? He is a direct descendant of the Charles VI through the Hapsburg line.
So we have seven ancient kings that depict the ancient Holy Roman Empire, what are the ten kings that rule with the beast for one hour?
The modern European Union was formed in 1993 and is made up of fifteen European nations. It has a parliament in Rome. It has a Judiciary. It has an Executive called the European Council of Ministers (ECM) with fifteen rulers. It has formed its own currency and dollar. It has its own flag.
The new Euro Dollar has transformed Europe in a host of ways. They have gone way beyond the original idea of a common market. The EU is well on its way to becoming an economic powerhouse. However, not everyone of the fifteen EU nations have signed up for this Euro Dollar. Some are not economically strong enough to join the club and some want to hold onto their own money. For example, the United Kingdom doesn’t want to give up their pound sterling. Therefore, a controversy is brewing within the ECM (council of ministers). This executive function is to serve like our Federal Reserve (controlling the money). The EU does not want rulers from other European countries having a say about the Euro Dollar if they aren’t signed up for it. So, the ECM is preparing to shrink in number accordingly (possibly ten or eleven). If this is the set of ten kings spoken of in the prophecy, then it will be ten not eleven.
Now this is the really interesting part. Each of these ministers in the ECM get to have the power to rule for six months each on a rotating basis. Each minister takes his turn serving as President. However, this power sharing routine is not working. With only six months, there isn’t enough time to really carry out any long term plans. The common complaint of retiring Presidents is that more time should be given to the person in this office. The suggestion has been made that one person be given the power to rule more on the order of the U.S. President (a four-year term of office). I’ll discuss more of this when we look at the prophecies of how the antimessiah comes to power.
Interesting Coincidences and Prophetic Themes
The basic contrast between a Christ and antichrist or a Messiah and an antimessiah is like good and evil. Evil never presents itself as black vs. white or as death vs. life. Evil always attempts to imitate good and offers itself as an alternative. The results are in sharp contrast, but deception has its initial appeal. The same is said for the antimessiah.
Messiah Yeshua was born in a humble setting with a destiny to be the King. Prince Charles was born in a royal setting with a destiny to be a king. Yeshua’s dominant parent was his mother Mary with a cousin called Elizabeth. Prince Charles= dominant parent is his mother Elizabeth with a cousin called Mary. Yeshua’s mother, Mary, has testified to us in Scripture that Yeshua was born to be the Savior, thus He was called Yeshua (which means Salvation). Queen Elizabeth when referring to Charles has been quoted as saying, “He is the chosen one, the one destined to rule.”
The Bible is full of controversies between the plans and purposes of God versus the plans and purposes of others. The controversies of Ishmael and Isaac or of Jacob and Esau are but a few that could be mentioned. Ishmael was Abraham’s first born, but he was not the son of promise. Esau was first born; but he despised his birthright and Jacob was the prophesied one. The antimessiah is to come with similar controversy and it centers on who has the right to rule. Who is the true son of David? For it was David who was promised that his throne would never lack for leadership. Given the history of the world and everyone’s migration upon the globe, even Jews lack the genealogical evidence to prove their ancestry. For anyone to prove their lineage back to King David would be surely contested; unless, you’re Prince Charles. His genealogical chart has been maintained throughout the centuries and he can trace his birth back that far. Therefore, Prince Charles can and does claim to be the “son of David.” This is a major precondition for laying claim to be the messiah.
Many prophecy students view the image of the antimessiah as a great charismatic figure who sweeps the world off its feet with power, offering himself first as a hero, then turning to evil. These are the vain imaginations of men. The Scripture presents the antimessiah as the person with no power who usurps and influences others. Those with power give it to him. To quote Prince Charles directly, he says, “I have no power of my own, but I have influence. And you will have to see what I do with it.”
The prophet Daniel offers this intriguing element about the antimessiah.
And he [antimessiah] will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.
Daniel 11:37
Prince Charles in recent years has caused some concern for his decision to change one of his titles. The title in question is “Defender of the Faith.” He has changed it to say, “Defender of Faiths.” His rationale is that he wants all of his subjects to identify with him, not just the Christians. This is a major departure from the past. The King of Great Britain is in the position of being head of the church (in opposition to the Pope). Prince Charles apparently does not regard the god of his fathers.
The next phrase of the prophecy says, “no regard… for the desire of women.” When Charles married Lady Diana, many prophecy teachers dismissed Charles as the antimessiah candidate on this alone. They need to examine this prophecy a bit more. It is Diana that uniquely qualifies Charles for this prophecy.
There are two ways to regard the prophecy “no desire for women.” One is from the homosexual standpoint. The Biblical expression “no desire for women” generally means there is instead a desire for men. Prince Charles, just prior to marrying Lady Diana, was fending off hints and suggestions that he was homosexual. These rumors persisted even after his marriage. However, Stephen Barry, the eleven-year personal valet for Prince Charles wrote a book entitled In His Royal Service that quelled these rumors. Stephen Barry asserted, as his personal valet, he could verify that Prince Charles was all man and that these rumors were simply that B rumors. He, himself, offered his own personal witness that Prince Charles was heterosexual and that he had assisted in some arranged meetings with other ladies. Everyone pretty much accepted Stephen’s testimony until he died of AIDS three years after leaving Prince Charles employment. It was obvious that Stephen Barry was, himself, homosexual.
But it is the secondary meaning of “no regard… for the desire of women” that brings Diana into the picture more clearly. A more modern translation would read, “He will have no regard for the most desirable among women.” The word “desire” is an adjective of women, not a verb for the antimessiah. “No regard” is the verb for the antimessiah.
This brings us to the special role of Diana in Charles life. Without any doubt, the world regarded Princess Diana as one of the most desirable women in the world. This is the woman that Prince Charles said publicly, “I have no desire for her.” Additionally, you may recall that Diana is the ancient name of a goddess worshiped by the Romans. There are a number of mythological symbols and stories and that meld into this entire scenario. Prince Charles marriage and relationship with Diana did not disqualify him in this prophecy; it uniquely qualified him.
How the Antimessiah Comes to Power
How the antimessiah comes to power and is given the authority to rule for 42 months are some of the most specific prophecies of him. Let’s examine what the prophet Zechariah says as he compares the antimessiah to the evil shepherd.
Thus says the Lord my God, “Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter. Those who buy them slay them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says, >Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!= And their own shepherds have no pity on them. For I shall no longer have pity on the inhabitants of the land,” declares the Lord; “but behold, I shall cause the men to fall, each into another’s power and into the power of his king; and they will strike the land, and I shall not deliver them from their power.”
Zechariah 11:4-6
The first step of the antimessiah coming to power is us losing control of our own national sovereignty. This prophecy says that we lose control of our own selves and then we are given over into the power of our own ruler. Our own ruler will then give his power (control of us) to the antimessiah. With each succeeding step of globalization, emergency government powers, and internal security requirements, our personal freedoms are inching their way toward capitulation. With the recent September 11 attack, congress has enacted legislation that has increased the power of government and decreased the privacy of people. I understand the reasons and agree with what has to be done. I also understand that this is the same process described by the prophets.
So I pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, hence the afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Favor, and the other I called Union; so I pastured the flock. Then I annihilated the three shepherds in one month, for my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also was weary of me. Then I said, “I will not pasture you. What is to die, let it die, and what is to be annihilated, let it be annihilated; and let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.” And I took my staff, Favor, and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples. So it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the Lord. Then I cut my second staff, Union, in pieces, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
Zechariah 11:7-11,14
The antimessiah comes to power under two staffs called Union and Favor. The actual rise to power is in the midst of ten kings by uprooting three of them. According to the prophecy, the anitmessiah will be impatient with the three and they will be weary of him. The remaining seven will give their power to him.
This description is not of a powerful handsome leader who sweeps everyone off their feet. It is better described as the political intrigue of our day. The present European Union is simply referred to as the Union. Those nations who have agreed upon the Euro Dollar are said to have received Favor. The power that the anitmessiah will be given and wield is economic B the very aim and purpose of the European Union.
As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings.
Daniel 7:24
Prince Charles is not an elected official as the rulers of the European Union; he is a monarch. Therefore, as the prophecy says, he is different from them. Maybe you are wondering if Prince Charles has any interest in leading Europe? He does. He tried to influence the original definition of the ECM in its formation in 1992. He argued that the monarchy was the most stable form of government, but Europe was into democracy and they turned him down. But the prophecy says they will consider his offer when they become a group of ten kings.
And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.
Revelation 17:12
There are two competing models for the definition of world globalism. One is the UN model and the other European. The UN wants one great big community of everyone helping everyone. The European model divides the world into three parts: developed nations, developing nations, and undeveloped nations. The European model contends that there are not enough resources in the world for all nations to be developed and, therefore, part of the world needs to be sacrificed to meet the need of the other part. The European model also contends that there is not enough food to go around and the world population should be significantly reduced. There are six billion people right now; they think two billion would be a better number. The language of Zechariah suggests that the antimessiah will be the guy who leads the world while a large number of people die from starvation and lack of resources. Prince Charles is a globalist. He is the leading proponent of the European model.
Present rumblings out of Europe with the advent of the Euro Dollar and its currency is calling for a new definition for the European Council of Ministers and the authority that its President should have. Speculation is running that the new definition and powers should be accomplished as early as 2002 or more likely 2003. March or April of 2003 would be a fascinating time for the ten ruler committee to formulate and implement these ideas. Seven rulers, each with six months to rule, could give their power to one man. Seven times six equals forty-two months to rule. The prophecy is very specific that we will know that he has the full forty-two months on the day he begins to rule.
How the Antimessiah will be Assassinated
Several years ago, when I began to speak publicly about Prince Charles and the prophecies of the antimessiah, I was confronted by some who just couldn’t see it that way. They didn’t understand the number thing or get it about the coat-of-arms. In fact, of all the complaints I have ever heard directed against me or the ministry, it has stemmed from this subject.
Some critics just can’t imagine, mild mannered, meek, geeky Prince Charles having the necessary fiber to be a world leader let alone the feared and mighty antimessiah. I rarely get to discuss this objection face to face. When I do, I remind them that Hitler was a corporal in WWI and his wimpy style didn’t stop him from leading the world in WWII which killed 50 million people including six million Jews. Yeshua refers to the antimessiah as the son of perdition (destruction) because he will kill more people than anyone in the world has ever come close to killing.
One of my critics on this subject was a pastor of a large church. Several of his folks had heard my information on this topic and had enthusiastically shared it with him. He was unimpressed, and in an effort to discredit me offered the following, trying to say no one will know who the antimessiah is. “If I knew who the antichrist was in the world. I’d do God a big favor and get a gun. I’d go and shoot him in the head,” so the pastor said before the chuckles of the church. The really ironic thing is someone is prophesied to do what he said.
The prophecy says that the antimessiah will be assassinated prior to him coming to power.
And I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;
Revelation 13:3
And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
Revelation 13:12
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life.
Revelation 13:14
Revelation speaks of the antimessiah as having had a fatal head wound. The antimessiah’s counterpart (the false prophet) is to assist in reviving the antimessiah. Political assassination is something this generation is well aware of. From the Kennedy’s to Martin Luther King, to Sadat and Rabin, we are very aware of how assassination news travels and is regarded. Can you imagine an assassination that results in a resurrection? This is what the prophecy says about the antimessiah. Whether this produces additional public support or not is debatable, but the prophecy relates to it each time the false prophet promotes the beast. But, it won’t be a complete healing… The prophet Zechariah says there will be some residual effects from the wound. Apparently, he will be blind in his right eye and his right arm will not work either.
Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! A sword will be on his arm and on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered, and his right eye will be blind.
Zechariah 11:17
In conclusion, I have been asked many times if Prince Charles knows who he is. That is, if he is the antimessiah, does he know that he is. My answer is Yes. I believe that the antimessiah is patiently waiting for his time just as the Messiah waited for His. I believe he is trusting in the promise that was given by his father.
I will give you all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore if you worship before me, it shall all be yours.
Luke 4:7
Am I afraid of what Prince Charles might do with me identifying him? Nope. I’m small potatoes in this world I’m just the “him” who did the calculation. “Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast…”

61. I you guys want to know about Islam, maybe you can start by study your Bible carefully…

62. Thank you. We “guys” know “our” Bible very well, having been reading it since childhood and continually studying over the past several decades it in its original languages of Hebrew and Greek as well.

It is not “our” Bible but a book of Jewish fairytales, as I have written about extensively.

That being said, yes, Islamic law is quite obviously based largely upon the Old Testament law, as in Deuteronomy and elsewhere.

63. I’m sorry, but after your leading paragraphs full of lies, calumny and libel, I have no interest in the rest of your ridiculously long post.

ISLAM IS NOT A RACE. () Therefore, criticizing it is not “racist.” Your pulling of the race card () is simply a reflection of your own ignorance, frankly.

Nor do you seem to know much about Islam or my work, with your disgraceful calumny and libel. We who object to the vicious and hateful teachings of Islam do NOT get our information concerning Islam just from the mainstream media – that is a lie repeated by Muslim apologists and their pet dhimmis.

Even in this post, I have linked to articles with CITATIONS FROM THE KORAN AND HADITH ().

We can also see all the Islamic atrocity around the globe () with our own two eyes from a wide variety of sources, including those in Muslim countries reporting their own news.

It is you who do not know about Islam, and your insults and smears are a mere deflection away from the problem at hand, which is Islamic doctrine itself.

See, folks, if you object to being enslaved under a doctrine that considers women to be subhuman animals worthy of owning and beating, that murders people who leave the cult, and that generally disrespects human beings, you will be insulted into submission by all manner of falsehoods and calumny.

That is how cults work.

For those who would like to learn more about Muslim apologetics to defend yourself against these cult tactics, I highly recommend this article:

How to Debate a Muslim ()

Moreover, the tossing back in one’s face of the terms “freethought” and “freethinker” is just another manipulation to drive you into the cult. The word “freethought” means what it says: FREE THOUGHT. That means FREE to THINK for ourselves, based on the evidence, of which we have a sickening abundance when it comes to Islam and its enslavement and violence. We freethinkers are able to be FREE of cultic indoctrination, especially of the most aggressive sort that we see in both Christianity and Islam.

So, do not let this other mindless calumny trying to badger you into believing that “freethought” means you should have an open mind towards all cultures and cults, no matter how atrocious and barbaric they may be. It means no such thing – it means that you have escaped brainwashing and are your own free agent using your own noodle, not robotically following the rotten old “scriptures” of hundreds to thousands of years ago.

As concerns Prince Charles’s speech, it is clear from his past behavior that he wilfully and irrationally supports this cult of women-enslavement and violent human-hatred, and the rest of his speech is therefore useless to me. Charles’s leanings towards Islam are so abundant that there has been speculation for years that he is a Muslim convert –

Is Prince Charles a secret convert to Islam? ()

As others have pointed out, Charles lives in mansions and jets all over the world, yet he wants to lecture the masses about the environment?

The only good that can come out of such an Islamist-appeasing and encouraging speech may be to get the rank-and-file Muslim to think about the environment. In the meantime, his false contentions about Islam are a slap in the face for the reasons I spelled out here. You have NO concern about all those horrible aspects of Islam that are essentially destroying true human civilization, but you just want to come here and harass and insult ME for exposing them.

You need to get your conscience in order, son.

In the meanwhile, as you are wasting our time here, some other poor person has suffered horribly at that hands of a demented Muslim nutter (), possibly encouraged by Charles’s stupid and thoughtless endorsement of this sick cult.

And it is yet another absolute lie that “this whole site is a record of you personally attacking loads of people.” Other than the Indian scammer Sai Baba, Prince Charles and a couple of other rabid nutters such as Anjem Choudary, I have not criticized a single person on this website. Who are these “loads of people I have attacked personally?” You cannot prove such a libelous contention.

For the past 15 years online, I HAVE CRITICIZED IDEOLOGIES THAT CAUSE PEOPLE TO BEHAVE BADLY, especially the cultic programming that causes people to become deranged and post libelous and calumnious rubbish on other people’s websites.

Until you understand these important concepts – and begin to address the problems raised because of them – I have no interest in your ill-formed and fallacious opinions.

1. This image alone is enough to demonstrate why I object to this sick, male-dominant, woman-enslaving cult. But there are many more reasons. Islam is an absolute insult against me as a woman.

Anyone who encourages, supports or appeases this misogynistic cult is on the wrong side of morality, period.

1. 😮 this is not anti-woman ; it is anti-sex ! I am just as outraged and insulted !You should wear sexy clothing darling ! I like latex ! I like to squeak all over my women, and Islam poses a threat to my very spice of life ! :s

64. Thank you
Thanks for your diligence, and unstoppable attitude, Acharya.

When will this world stop offering obeisance and respect to those who invoke intimate knowledge of God Almighty and use that false claim to harm others? When will we start holding the priests and shamans and imams to the same standards of common decency we hold everyone else to?

65. re:

I’ll just point out that religion causes all forms of sexual predatory behavior…that in our natural state before indoctrination our sexual drives force us to respect each other BUT there are those among us pushing the myth that castration cures all ills ! It doesn’t do any such thing …it makes for insensitivity and brutish behavior ! called numbnuts and backwardness by the clever who can prey on those so destroyed…shove that where the sun don’t shine , you morons who reckon your own mothers are the root of evil ! What ? you wanted a virgin birth ? silly bugger aren’t yuh !

68. i might as well give the game away ! It’s all about sex ! Crooks hate it and animal lovers love it ! therefore if god degrades it with holier than though cause i’m clean and sexless of such thoughts and feelings …its obviously made up by Crooks !on the other hand if you perceive it as desirable without abuse or degradation …your ok and human or un-ashamably animal ! if you can’t see the connection between sex and your morality , then your confused ..a pretending predator or dead ! there are three types of people in this world …crooks , the confused and the true man or woman ! I hope we are by seeing the scourge of religion and fighting against its pushers beginning to form a world wherein the smart crooks cannot abide !because our very presence is like acid to soap…we will not endure them we will crush them by simply having our personal power !

This Book is not to be doubted…. As for the unbelievers, it is the same whether or not you forewarn them; they will not have faith. God has set a seal upon their hearts and ears; their sight is dimmed and grievous punishment awaits them.

Quran 2:1/2:6-2:10; “The Cow,” Dawood, pp. 1-2

If you doubt what We have revealed to Our servant, produce one chapter comparable to it. Call upon your idols to assist you, if what you say be true. But if you fail (as you are sure to fail) then guard yourselves against the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.

Quran 2:23-4, “The Cow,” Dawood, p. 3

It is not for true believers men or women to take their choice in the affairs if God and His apostle decree otherwise. He that disobeys God and His apostle strays far indeed.

Quran 33:36, “The Confederate Tribes,” Dawood, p. 422

It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, accidents excepted. He that accidently kills a believer must free one Muslim slave… He that kills a believer by design shall burn in Hell for ever. He shall incur the wrath of God, who will lay His curse on him and prepare for him a mighty scourge.

Quran 3:110-111, “The Imrans,” Dawood, p. 63
Infidels, Unbelievers and Non-Muslims

Let not believers make friends with infidels in preference to the faithful – he that does this has nothing to hope for from Good – except in self-defense. God admonishes you to fear Him: for to God shall all return.

Quran 3:28; “The Imrans,” Dawood, p. 52

God’s curse be upon the infidels! Evil is that for which they have bartered away their souls. To deny God’s own revelation, grudging that He should reveal His bounty to whom He chooses from among His servants! They have incurred God’s most inexorable wrath. An ignominious punishment awaits the unbelievers.

72. reply
I am actually really amazed at how you can openly declare your hatred for a religion which it so clearly shows you have no idea about. Now wait before you declare this an absolute waste of your time could you please try hearing me out? I won’t take that long.

Your first allegation is that Muslims command to kill jews and Christians. Let me quote the verse of the Quran which may have lead you to this thought

“But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, Most merciful.”
[Al-Qur’an 9:5]
This verse is quoted during a battle.
3. Example of war between America and Vietnam

We know that America was once at war with Vietnam. Suppose the President of America or the General of the American Army told the American soldiers during the war: “Wherever you find the Vietnamese, kill them”. Today if I say that the American President said, “Wherever you find Vietnamese, kill them” without giving the context, I will make him sound like a butcher. But if I quote him in context, that he said it during a war, it will sound very logical, as he was trying to boost the morale of the American soldiers during the war.

4. Verse 9:5 quoted to boost morale of Muslims during battle

Similarly in Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 the Qur’an says, “Kill the Mushriqs where ever you find them”, during a battle to boost the morale of the Muslim soldiers. What the Qur’an is telling Muslim soldiers is, don’t be afraid during battle; wherever you find the enemies kill them.
5. Shourie jumps from verse 5 to verse 7

Arun Shourie is one of the staunchest critics of Islam in India. He quotes the same verse, Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 5 in his book ‘The World of Fatwahs’, on page 572. After quoting verse 5 he jumps to verse 7 of Surah Taubah. Any sensible person will realise that he has skipped verse 6.
6. Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer

Surah Taubah chapter 9 verse 6 gives the answer to the allegation that Islam promotes violence, brutality and bloodshed. It says:

“If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge.”
[Al-Qur’an 9:6]

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushriq seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place. In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?

This is exactly what Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an to promote peace in the world.
So thats why it is our duty to spread the message of peacefully Islam should be spread out all over the world and ensure a peaceful life based upon the original Docotorines of True Islam

1. Nice try. Do you go all around the net and post this SPAM message? You obviously don’t know who you are addressing here, but that doesn’t stop you from insulting me by claiming I have “no idea about Islam.”

I’ve been studying Islam for MANY years, and I know far more about it than even most Muslims, yourself included, apparently. For instance, you are not aware of the Mecca-Medina abrogation () of the tiny percentage of “happy” verses in the Koran? You have no clue that some 60% of the Koran is all about infidel hatred? Your cherry-picked “nice” verses are not going to overturn that fact.

How can I “openly declare hatred” for a violent ideology that enslaves women and murders infidels?

Quran Quotes ()

That is responsible for the murders of some 270 million people worldwide ()? That continues endlessly with the grotesque abuse of human beings?

The Religion of Peace ()

No person with a conscience can follow such a cult. No amount of makeup on that pig is going to make it beautiful.

You can free yourself from this infidel-hating, woman-enslaving cult. Go here: () () () () ()

Good luck.

73. As for your allegation you claim that Islam encourages female brutality and what not and honestly if I were in your position I would probably consider the same given that all the media shows. But before I try to remove that misconception from your head could you do me one favour? The next time you decide to study Muslims only study the best Muslim. For example if you have a BMW and you give it to a 16 year old dimwit to drive it and he crashes it who are YOU going to blame the BMW or the driver. Well ofcourse the driver. In the same way Islam is the BMW don’t judge it by these idiot Terrorists or anyone for that matter study it from the man who preached it our Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him.
You call Islam a women enslaving cult. I’m guessing you have strong reservations against the Islamic headscarf. But before I defend the headscarf I just want to make one thing clear that picture you posted of the so called Islamic “burqa” is not Islamic. It is rather in my opinion quite a heinous tribal tradition followed near Afghanistan and rural Pakistan.
The Islamic headscarf promotes modesty and in my opinion also equality within the genders. When a woman is covered, men cannot judge her by her appearance but are forced to evaluate her by her personality, character, and morals. In this century or time I consider the headscarf a blessing. Especially with the stereotypes being developed the hijab allows women to be independent and liberates them from all such misjudging. It gives them an identity and in my opinion respect.
Most of the ill-treatment that women receive in the Muslim world is based on local culture and traditions, without any basis in the faith of Islam. In fact, practices such as forced marriage, spousal abuse, and restricted movement directly contradict Islamic law governing family behavior and personal freedom. During the caliph Umar’s reign women were discouraged from constantly remaining within the four walls of their homes.
Infact in Islam knowledge is made compulsory on every man and WOMAN.
I would highly recommend you to read this article

1. It’s very nice that you want to make Islam look good, but all your efforts are in vain, as its history and continued human abuses make Islam appear irreparably bad.

I know all about the Muslim apologetics concerning the covering of women. I disagree and denounce these excuses, as they are simply reflections of the barbarity of MEN. Therefore, it is the MEN who must change, not the women who must accommodate these savages by oppressing themselves. In places where men are not disgusting and violent animals, there is absolutely no need for women to cover themselves up.

“The next time you decide to study Muslims only study the best Muslim.”

“The best Muslim?” You mean, like Mohammed? Okay, here’s what he said:

“Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart, and beat them.”

Quran 4:34, “Women,” Dawood, p. 83

Instead of putting makeup on this pig and trying repair the irreparable, perhaps you should move on and simply free yourself from this alien cult that was imposed on you and/or your ancestors, likely using violence.

Again, see these links: () () () () ()

74. The next time you decide to quote from the Holy Quran could you please quote the full verse. So heres the verse

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all). ” (Quran 4:34, Yusuf Ali’s translation)

Before I aid you in properly understanding this verse I just wanted to mention one thing if you haven’t read it already. Arabic is a tricky language to translate that’s why even to Muslims it is always recommended that if you want to properly understand the Quran then learning Arabic is a must.
Now in this translation the word protectors and maintainers has been used the Arabic for this is qawwam. To qawwam over something or someone is to guard, maintain or take care of that something or someone in a proper and fair manner. In this passage Quran glorifies women and tells men to look after them in fair manner. That I think every women desires from her husband even a full fledged feminist.
Two reasons are given
“because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other”
I don’t think any of us can disagree with that. We know that men are physically stronger than us. From the statement we should not conclude that God has favoured men more than women, as many careless readers of the Qur’an do, that Islam views men superior to women. For this statement does not exclude the possibility that in some other ways women may be favoured more than men. Indeed observation shows that women are in general more patient, caring and have a more developed intuition than men.
Moreover, the Holy Qur’an makes it clear that while there are many favours of God that He bestows on His creatures in different measures, there is only one favour which determines the superiority of one member of the human species over another and that is taqwa or God consciousness. Thus wealth, strength, health, intelligence, position, education, etc. are all favours of God but we cannot say that a wealthier person is superior to a poorer person, a stronger person is superior is superior to a physically feeble person and so on. we can say only that a more muttaqi person is superior to a less muttaqi person. In the words of the Holy Qur’an:
“The nobler among you in the sight of God is the more muttaqi (righteous) among you.” (49:13)

Before I continue I just wanted to point out a few statistics.

A woman is beaten every 15 seconds by her partner; it happens at some time in 25-35 % of American homes; 4,000 women die from such abuse each year. (FBI

Women of all cultures, races, occupations, income levels, and ages are battered – by husbands, boyfriends, lovers and partners. (Surgeon General Antonia Novello, as quoted in Domestic Violence: Battered Women, publication of the Reference Department of the Cambridge Public Library, Cambridge, MA)

pproximately one-third of the men counseled (for battering) at Emerge are professional men who are well respected in their jobs and their communities. these have included doctors, psychologists, lawyers, ministers, and business executives. (For Shelter and Beyond, Massachusetts Coalition of Battered Women Service Groups, Boston, MA 1990)

Statistics as these should awaken all those in denial of the fact that wife beating and abuse is an endemic disease in all different cultures, religions and communities. It is as common in Western as it is in Eastern societies.
Men in Western (and Eastern) societies do not abuse their wives because of scriptural teachings, but because of a natural instinct of domination and aggression. God, knowing this, has therefore decreed a perfect law to help men control their temper and to solve any problems before resorting to physical aggression.
A solution has however been presented to the world in the Quran, the Final Testament, more than 1400 years ago, in verse 4:34.
f you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then(you may use negative incentives like) deserting them in bed, then you may (as a last alternative) beat them. If they obey you, you are not permitted to transgress against them.GOD is Most High, Supreme.

t first glance this verse may appear as if promoting physical abuse of women. But when reading 4:34 carefully one realizes that it actually prohibits abuse and beating of women by using the best psychological approach.
The advise to first talk and then avoid sexual contact, provides the necessary time and space for both parties to cool off, reason, examine the problem and reach a favorable agreement for both of them.
Abuse of a wife will not happen if the man learns to follow the clear commandments of God in this verse and in the order decreed. Abuse will only happen when a man does not follow these commandments, and thus fails to cool off and reason with himself or with his wife.
Unfortunately 4:34 is extremely abused by many of the so-called “Muslim” men in the world. While disregarding their own obligations and their own righteousness, these men only focus on the third step of handling this difficult condition as described in 4:34, skip the first two necessary steps and give themselves the excuse to beat their wives. They find support for their misguided and biased views, and for treating their spouses unjustly, in the fabrications of the so called Hadith and Sunna. They thus misrepresent the true Islam (Submission), and divert people from this perfect and just religion for all.
We have to remember that the right given to the man in 4:34, can only be claimed when you have a situation with a righteous man on one hand dealing with a situation in which his wife repeatedly commits “Neshooz” which is an unrighteous, wicked and rebellious act. Abusing this law and the attempt to apply it to regular daily marital disagreements is not warranted by the strong and selective wording of the verse. Furthermore, for a man to demand or claim this right, he must first give that woman all the rights God has given her and follow all aspects of the commandment without skipping any part of it. God clearly says in the Quran that He has decreed for the men and the women rights and obligations equitably (2:228).
In reality, a believing husband would most probably NEVER come to the stage where he would actually lay a hand on his wife. He would be much too careful to examine his own motives first, as a God fearing man, before exercising this right. As we see in the verse immediately following 4:34, when the marriage reaches this stage it’s on it’s way to end, as the very next words in the Quran reads; “If a couple fears separation…”
Most women in the world today do not enjoy the protection verse 4:34 grants them. Instead they are unjustly abused, verbally and physically, by unrighteous men in unrighteous ways, and get beaten up for the most trivial of reasons, or for no reason at all. According to 4:34 even if the husband has a good reason, he is not allowed to lay a hand on his wife until he has passed all the previous steps.
The woman’s responsibility in a marriage starts the day she chooses a husband. If she wants to enjoy her God given rights, she must obey her God given commands, and choose a believing husband. Thus, she can expect from him to treat her in accordance with God’s decree, and not transgress against her. She can expect from a believing husband that he will heed any reminder she gives him, if he forgets. If she chooses to disregard God’s commands, she has to know that there will be consequences.
If women expect the men’s deeds to have consequences, they should expect the same for themselves. These consequences are however well controlled to protect the women from the outrage of the angry husbands as we can find in God’s law for the believers in 4:34.
We also learn that one of the traits of the righteous is that they suppress anger.
[3:134] “…They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. GOD loves the charitable.”
The nature and essence of a healthy relationship between a husband and wife is beautifully expressed in the following verse from the Quran:
[ 30:21] Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think.
[3:195 ]”Their Lord responded to them: “I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you MALE OR FEMALE, YOU ARE EQUAL TO ONE ANOTHER………”
When facing difficult times, even if the man dislikes his wife, God has decreed;
[4:19] O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit what the women leave behind, against their will. You shall not force them to give up anything you had given them, unless they commit a proven adultery. You shall treat them nicely. If you dislike them, you may dislike something wherein GOD has placed a lot of good.
And when divorce happens, the full respect to the wife is urged,
[2:229] Divorce may be retracted twice. The divorced woman shall be allowed to live in the same home amicably, or leave it amicably. It is not lawful for the husband to take back anything he had given her. However, the couple may fear that they may transgress GOD’s law. If there is fear that they may transgress GOD’s law, they commit no error if the wife willingly gives back whatever she chooses. These are GOD’s laws; do not transgress them. Those who transgress GOD’s laws are the unjust.
In conclusion; A BELIEVING wife and a BELIEVING husband will NEVER get to the point where beating of the wife enters the picture. A BELIEVING couple will consult one another and agree on the best way to solve their differences as verse 4:34 and the whole scripture recommends.
We have to know that we are not in this world to protect unrighteous behavior. We are in this world to be given a last chance to make the right choice and submit to God alone. Making the wrong choices will have consequences for all of us, both in this world and in the eternal Hereafter, for women and men equally.
God is the Most Just, the Most Merciful.

Just out of curiousity what religion do you follow?

1. “The next time you decide to quote from the Holy Quran could you please quote the full verse.”

Ah yes, the “out of context” argument. Sorry, but it’s irrelevant, ridiculous and impractical. Muslims do not go about quoting entire, long verses as you have done here. Just as do Christians and Jews, they select verses to suit them – and millions have done just that, especially with this one, justifying the mistreatment and enslavement of women.

Your apologies for Islam ring hollow. Instead of wasting my and your time here, perhaps you need to go around to all the Muslim fanatics globally – including some entire governments, such as that of Aceh, Indonesia – which are using the abundant infidel-hating and women-enslaving quotes “out of context” to base their laws on. I’m sure they would be very happy to hear your opinions on the subject.

I don’t follow any religion. But, why would you follow Islam, except for the fact that your ancestors were likely slaughtered and raped by invading Muslims?

By the way, your apologist tactics are outlined here:

How to Debate a Muslim ()

As I say, they ring hollow, as Islam’s foul history () has proved over and over again.

If you are interested in debating people about Islam, please go here: ()

You will find plenty of people on that forum – many ex-Muslims – who will be happy to debate you. I personally have no such interest in refuting the same absurd and tiresome arguments over and over again.

I hope you eventually free yourself from this deleterious mind control.

Oh, and by the way, the woman abuse you cite in non-Muslim countries is HIGHLY ILLEGAL, whereas in Islamic nations under sharia law, it is institutionalized. As I say, your apologist tactics are well known and have been refuted many times over. But do have some fun at the forum.

75. Wisdom is not gained by hipe, read, know then judg
Islam actually encourages people (All people) to use the environment to the benefit of life, wherever/whenever a utilization results in ruining the environment (i.e. natural resources) this utilization is considered a sin.
Mis-use, over-use, wastage are discouraged in Islam and all other relegions.
A note for those who do not know much about Mohammad, He once said:”If the final day occurs and you had a seedling in your hand, Plant it in the soil to grow.”
As some comments suggested, please read the Koran (And its meaning), read also about Mohammad, all is avaliable on the internet.
At leaset you don’t need others to tell you about the book or the prophet, find out by yourselves, it adds to your wisdon instead of hear-se.
Quote” “True believers always seek wisdom, regardless of its source”-Prophet Mohammad

The sould many n endland are hearing in the sound of RICHARD the LION HEART spinning in his grave and the same for HARATIO NELSON and WINSTON CHURCHILL it looks like PRINCE CHUCKY is going wacko

77. To Acharya S
Dear Acharya S,
Thank you for your wonderful work.
I learned a lot.
I don’t have any belief to defend. It’s all about facts.
I was raised in a christian culture, but whether there was an historical Jesus or not is no point to me. I still “think” there was one —far different from what we’ve been told–, but I don’t have your scholarship.
It seems to me that Islam overcame the feminine, like Hebrews did, and like Jesus -if He ever existed- did not. But his followers did too.
If I am mistaken so be it.

My message is a love message to you Acharya
Keep on shining !
Any free human being should stand next to you
I do

78. Hmmmm… Facts? What facts?
Muslims killed 270m people? Religion aside when you quote a source at least check to make sure it’s accurate!

Africa – estimated death of about 120 million people. Islam ran the wholesale slave trade in Africa – really? Did it? Firstly it talks Islam did not decree for Muslims to trade in slaves, just like Christianity did not instruct Hitler. Secondly a single source is what caused the WMD mess in Iraq. Third the Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions is not exactly an unbiased source.

Christians – well to start with the report calculated murders by Muslims as early as 30AD, 670 years before Islam started. Again no detail is given to explain how accurate the data is. However what we do know is that Muslim and Christians have lived peacefully for 1400 years until the current wave of political violence. Take Spain as a simple example.

India – I’m not even sure where to start here. The
Split of India into Pakistan, India and Bangaladesh was a political struggle, not a religious one. How else do you explain that there are more Muslims in India than Pakistan? Hindu Kush is now on the Pakistan/afghan border. Hindus were not murdered. People converted. I am not saying that there has not been bloodshed but the facts of history are very different.

Buddhists – by the authors own admission the figures are very much a guess.

Are you comfortable staking your view of the brutality of the murdering Muslims on what is obviously a dodgy dossier?

79. ossified for reason

convoluted lunacy
As per usual, it would appear, none of the criticisms of the article take place on analytic or even marginally logical grounds. I think the fact that no one can categorically refute the systemic arguments of the piece demonstrate the credibility inherent to many of them. The universal condemnation of “ignorance” or laughably “racism” expresses nothing but ones lack of a capacity to construct a decent insult. Why? Because calling someone names without supporting the criticism, with anything short of a nebulous statement of generalized rhetoric propagated from partisan zealotry, is just insult throwing. Equally a universal apolegism for islam is a hopelessly baseless side to take.

Firstly, assuming Islam to be invariably correct and without the prerequisite of empirical proof, as supporters of islam would have no choice but to do, establishes a paradigm of purely subjective and absolute logic. This logic is then used in the context of suggesting that, true islam is peace and virtue. Those nasty terrorists just twist everything up.I’m sure there are a variety of these terrorists and supporters of these terrorists who rate such activities are very noble and religious. Who are you to tell them they are not? Or is Islam dependent on your perspectives?

Honestly I could go on all day, but have neither the time nor inclination. I can but hope that the senseless logic of Islamic apologists, whether sincere or not, is never understood to be a replacement for actual rationality, as I would equally hope for the baseless proponents of Christianity or any other religion. Simultaneously, I hope the blind followers of a murderous, rapist, militant glutton (all things Islam’s “holy texts” and respective satellite literature also imply muhammed to be), grow a brain cell. Or rather are subject to a global societal mentality shift – which such sheeple are visibly so susceptible to – that results in blind adherence to an ideology which is at least not as incongruent as Islam. “Wisdom is not gained by hipe, read, know then judge” quite possibly the only part of Ghanmi’s argument which makes sense. Well said. Its a shame about the rest. Wisdom is gained by rational inquiry. Iconoclast and improvable assumptions, decorated with facile and inter-textually contradicted, quotes from the Koran does do not fall in such a category.

Acharya, people like you give me hope. Please don’t go anywhere.

80. good effort. Abysmal failure
If you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then(you may use negative incentives like) deserting them in bed, then you may (as a last alternative) beat them. If they obey you, you are not permitted to transgress against them.GOD is Most High, Supreme.

at first glance this verse may appear as if promoting physical abuse of women. But when reading 4:34 carefully one realizes that it actually prohibits abuse and beating of women by using the best psychological approach.”

Woweee…. that is impressive. Trying to support the position that a statement in a book which dictates that a man may beat a women is actually saying that a man shouldn’t beat a woman? Why does language even exist if we are all supposed to entirely ignore it and adhere to whatever conventions of good-think prevail at the time? I mean I can see arguments for the construction of reality by language to some extent, but holy sh*t. This is something else. So you are telling me that it is morally acceptable for me to say “you may beat them”… referring to women… as long as I only make it the last resort? In fact, not only will I be morally justified but it would be on par with the word of god!? Wow, life is really turning up for me. here all this time I thought I must be accountable for what I say all the time. But if I say one may perform an intolerable act of violence… only after a small list of alternatives, thats ok. I’ll bear that in mind and site you as my inspiration when right minded people want my head to roll.

Anyway, as far as the prevailing good-think of the time is concerned. “using the best psychological approach”? Yes. We are all well versed in the activities of the order of clinical psychologists operating with modern techniques in the ancient middle east during the formation of the koran  . Honestly, it is just ridiculous to presume that modern notions of female equality through psychological discourse have implicit syllogism with koranic verse. I thought you lot were supposed to be the ones saying “study the koran in context” in time and place. I wasn’t aware that there was such a prevailing notion of the psychology of modern feminism in 7th century Arabia. Or was muhammed a time traveler too? If only he also brought back modern notions of limited warfare as well, instead of slaughtering the infidels nation after nation for infractions as minor as not accepting his cult as the final and complete word of god. But Im sure he had his reasons 😉

81. Dear Brother you need to read the full quraan to u
Dear Brother Acharya S
I dont understand why people have hatred towards islam, the best thing is an invitation to islam , pl read the litral meaning of quran an di Bet if you not accept islam after that.
1) Kill Kafir where ever you find them this is what you mentioned : This was on the pretext of a war with kafirs(non belivers in Allah)
so if you are at war with someone dont u say that if you find any enimy kill them, like you are proud to win a war similarly during the war at that time Allah told the muslims that where ever you find your enimy kill him…Brother you are quoting the sentence out of context, not only this the next line says if the enimy surrenders then HIS SAFETLY WILL BE YOUR DUTY YOU HAVE TO GUIDE HIM TO A PLACE OF HIS SAFELT and take care of his security..

OTHER ISSUES AS WELL who says women and men are equal? you can go out at 1:00 am at night into any area, can a women do that?? no she will be raped for sure..
IN ISLAM ITS SAID THAT A WOMEN IS A BORN PRINCESS, the father or husband needs to provide her with food, clothing, its only her own wish to do work at home.

SO BROTHER Please read the quraan , just as any other book and then dont forget to get back to thsi forum and tell us what do you feel after u understand it

1. If you don’t understand why people hate Islam, you are asleep and have not studied the subject. Your remarks indicate you are a Muslim apologist who is going around parroting apologies.

Unlike many such apologists, who basically repeat the same things over and over again, I actually HAVE read the Koran many times, with the side-by-side Arabic (). I have lived on the planet long enough to watch much horror caused by the Koran and Islam.

“OTHER ISSUES AS WELL who says women and men are equal? you can go out at 1:00 am at night into any area, can a women do that?? no she will be raped for sure..”

Like your other ones, this remark is completely asinine – in the first place, I am not a “brother,” so your comments don’t apply to me at all. Secondly, in many parts of the world where SAVAGES don’t reign, women can walk around at night perfectly safely, but thanks for verifying that Muslim fanatics are used to living in places where women are raped – fat lot of good Islam is doing to build character, eh? Nothing but savage rapists roaming the streets in the Muslim world? And THAT would be why so many people hate Islam, brother.

If we are talking about men who are possessed by vile male-dominant cults, I would never suggest that they and women are equal. Such men – your ever-present rapists – are clearly inferior to liberated women.

Your remarks regarding women’s rights in Islam are pure bullcrap. Yes, there’s a whole chapter on Women in the Koran – mostly to denigrate them and put them into an inferior status.

In Islam, women are considered slaves to men for purposes of housework, sex and baby-manufacture, and their value is one-half that of men.

“Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please.” Quran 2:223

“Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart, and beat them.” Quran 4:34

“A male shall inherit twice as much as a female.”
Quran 4:11

“Call in two male witnesses from among you, but if two men cannot be found, then one man and two women whom you judge fit to act as witnesses…”
Quran 2:282

Please just wake up to the cult that has enslaved your mind. We will all be better off for your freedom and enlightenment.

1. Prince Charles is an inbred fool!
Inbreeding is bad ! Charlie boy, the batty old fool is a perfect example of that!

The whole royal family is so inbred ! In fact, after Britain withdrew from India in 1947 the royal family chose to be more closely allied with totalitarian, islamist Pakistan than secular, democratic India.

We see the results of that today not just in “Londonistan” but all over the world.

Perhaps, he’d like to explain his ludicrously ridiculous comments to the victims of 9/11, the July 7th train bombings in London, the Spanish train bombings, Bali bombings and finally those who were killed in Mumbai in 2008 all murdered by fanatic muslim fundamentalists ?

82. Price chucky royal bafoon
Im sure glad we fought a war for independence some 200 years ago so were no longer i bondage to england and that blabbering bafoon prince chucky :woohoo:

83. u r all idiots

The Prophet of Islam DID NOT repeatedly rape a 9-year-old girl, as he DID ask for her hand in marriage, and she agreed. It was completely Aisha`s decision, and even after her marriage, it DID NOT stop her from enjoying her childhood. The Prophet and Aisha had many races, and used to invite her friends over, and spend hours playing together. Not only that, but when the Prophet did pass away, it was in Aisha`s house, on her lap, as she wanted to look after him in the final stages of his life.
As for all you who think that the Quraan teaches people to murder people of other religions, that is NOT TRUE. I am a 12-year-old Muslim girl with many friends from other religions, and not once did they think that if we had an argument, I would murder them. The Prophet had taught us to respect other religions, because if we didn`t, then why would they respect mine? Also, I find it very upsetting that once you find a friend, and they ask you what your religion is, and you say “I am a Muslim”, their whole demeanor changes. The first word that comes in their head is `terrorist` but not all Muslims are like that. I believe that the Muslims terrorists believe that they are doing right, but these terrorists are being stupid. Not only are they creating a bad name for other Muslims in the world, but they are burning down all the beautiful places in the world. Me as a Muslim, don’t even think its right, but what about all those other people out there? They have always learnt that Islam is all about peace, but then all these terrorists are creating wars, and not just problems for themselves, but problems for other Muslims too. Once Bin Laden died, I think that not only everyone from other religions, but everyone who is a Muslim, was very relieved. I know for a fact that all the people in my family were overwhelmed with relief and happiness that he had died. Muslims are just like everyone else in the world, just with a couple of different beliefs. I mean, people think that women are oppressed, with no forms of entertainment. But, I still watch t.v. shows, like Family Guy, American Dad, CBBC, e.c.t. I also listen to music, and have a lot of favourites,, especially One Direction and Justin Bieber. I only wear a scarf outside, and probably my trainers, top, jeans and a hoodie to keep me warm. Anyone who has any questions about my view on Islam, or about Islam, just write them underneath.
Thanks and Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

1. Thank you. But may I suggest that, as 12-year-old girl, you might not know as much about Islam as you think you do?

In the hadiths – including the SUNNAH or authorized hadiths – it clearly states that Mohammed consummated his “marriage” with Ayesha when she was nine years old. Afterwards, Ayesha is recorded as stating that when she was playing with dollies, Mohammed used to come have sex with her.

You didn’t even read the hadith I had already linked, did you, before you posted your denial?
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated ‘Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
There are others.

In civilized countries, when one has sex with a child of this age, it is rape, period. And according to the hadiths, Mohammed had sex with Ayesha repeatedly.

If you have an issue with these hadiths, perhaps you should take it up with the MUSLIM AUTHORITIES who have repeatedly confirmed them:

Muslim cleric: Mohammed had sex with a nine year old girl ()

Saudi Cleric: Mohammed had sex with a 9-year-old girl ()

You may also wish to read more about Islam, since it appears you are not getting the full story.

Moreover, simply because we are addressing a religion or its founder does not mean we are talking about individual believers such as you. What you do in your own life is irrelevant to the Islamic doctrine held by millions worldwide, as outlined by the Muslim spokesmen at the link above.

84. Really you think Fox News is owned by Muslims. Isn’t that a load of bull, seriously have you ever watched Fox News, they are as pro Islam as you.

1. The second largest shareholder of FOX is the rich Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal ().

Rather than disputing known facts, perhaps one would like to study the subject?

85. How the f**k does her being a 12 year old girl lack her knowledge on her own religion

1. Really, you just can’t understand how a 12-year-old doesn’t know everything about a religion that requires entire bodies of scholars to interpret?

Rather insulting to the scholars, isn’t it?
Ulama () (Arabic: علماء‎ ʿUlamāʾ, singular عالِم ʿĀlim, “scholar” ), also spelt ulema, refers to the educated class of Muslim legal scholars engaged in the several fields of Islamic studies. They are best known as the arbiters of sharia law. While the ulama are well versed in legal fiqh (jurisprudence) being Islamic lawyers, some of them also go on to specialize in other fields, such as hadith or tafseer.

In a broader sense, the term ulama is used to describe the body of Muslim scholars who have completed several years of training and study of Islamic disciplines, such as a mufti, qadi, faqih, or muhaddith. Some Muslims[which?] include under this term the village mullahs and imams, who have attained only the lowest rungs on the ladder of Islamic scholarship; other Muslims[clarification needed] would say that clerics must meet higher standards to be considered ulama.
I’m guessing the girl probably didn’t know all those facts, and, yes, I know more about “her” religion than she does, obviously. I proved that fact by my response, but you conveniently overlooked it.

86. The only thing worse than a radical muslim is a zionist jew. Muslims propagate their filth up front while the zionist jews hide their grab for money and quest for power out of sight.
