Who needs men?

Margaret BattyeAn interesting article about how society does much better when women are more actively involved. My post title is tongue in cheek, as I’m quite fond of men. My take of nations thriving under female empowerment is not as competitors with men but as complementaries in steering the Earth Ship. Perhaps because life is not as cheap to women in some ways things turn out better under their leadership?  In most cultures, women appear to be less prone to send their children off to kill and be killed, and may have more of a stake in preservation. While men expel the seed of life, women take it in and nurture it. However it goes, civilization thrives with the empowerment of women.

The photo here is of a woman, Margaret Battye, who was the first female lawyer in West Australia. I thought it was an intriguing image…

The End of Men

Earlier this year, women became the majority of the workforce for the first time in U.S. history. Most managers are now women too. And for every two men who get a college degree this year, three women will do the same. For years, women’s progress has been cast as a struggle for equality. But what if equality isn’t the end point? What if modern, postindustrial society is simply better suited to women? A report on the unprecedented role reversal now under way—and its vast cultural consequences…

“There’s no question that there exists a universal preference for sons.” Steinbacher went on to complain about women becoming locked in as “second-class citizens” while men continued to dominate positions of control and influence…

In the ’90s, when Ericsson looked into the numbers for the two dozen or so clinics that use his process, he discovered, to his surprise, that couples were requesting more girls than boys, a gap that has persisted, even though Ericsson advertises the method as more effective for producing boys. In some clinics, Ericsson has said, the ratio is now as high as 2 to 1. Polling data on American sex preference is sparse, and does not show a clear preference for girls. But the picture from the doctor’s office unambiguously does. A newer method for sperm selection, called MicroSort, is currently completing Food and Drug Administration clinical trials. The girl requests for that method run at about 75 percent.

Even more unsettling for Ericsson, it has become clear that in choosing the sex of the next generation, he is no longer the boss. “It’s the women who are driving all the decisions,” he says… At first, Ericsson says, women who called his clinics would apologize and shyly explain that they already had two boys. “Now they just call and [say] outright, ‘I want a girl.’ These mothers look at their lives and think their daughters will have a bright future their mother and grandmother didn’t have, brighter than their sons, even, so why wouldn’t you choose a girl?”

Why wouldn’t you choose a girl? That such a statement should be so casually uttered by an old cowboy like Ericsson—or by anyone, for that matter—is monumental. For nearly as long as civilization has existed, patriarchy—enforced through the rights of the firstborn son—has been the organizing principle, with few exceptions. Men in ancient Greece tied off their left testicle in an effort to produce male heirs; women have killed themselves (or been killed) for failing to bear sons. In her iconic 1949 book, TheSecond Sex, the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir suggested that women so detested their own “feminine condition” that they regarded their newborn daughters with irritation and disgust. Now the centuries-old preference for sons is eroding—or even reversing. “Women of our generation want daughters precisely because we like who we are,” breezes one woman in Cookie magazine. Even Ericsson, the stubborn old goat, can sigh and mark the passing of an era. “Did male dominance exist? Of course it existed. But it seems to be gone now. And the era of the firstborn son is totally gone.”…

“Women live longer than men. They do better in this economy. More of ’em graduate from college. They go into space and do everything men do, and sometimes they do it a whole lot better. I mean, hell, get out of the way—these females are going to leave us males in the dust.”

Man has been the dominant sex since, well, the dawn of mankind. But for the first time in human history, that is changing—and with shocking speed….

Up to a point, the reasons behind this shift are obvious. As thinking and communicating have come to eclipse physical strength and stamina as the keys to economic success, those societies that take advantage of the talents of all their adults, not just half of them, have pulled away from the rest….

With few exceptions, the greater the power of women, the greater the country’s economic success.…In some war-torn states, women are stepping in as a sort of maternal rescue team. Liberia’s president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, portrayed her country as a sick child in need of her care during her campaign five years ago. Postgenocide Rwanda elected to heal itself by becoming the first country with a majority of women in parliament….

  1. :cheer: good to hear Acharya S …sweet talk indeed…a good man needs a good woman or vice versa ! And to follow through the balance in civilization means success ! Let me only say , if nature is allowed to flow unheeded by the church , we can only be winners in a crime free world ! its not our nature as she says , that causes crime ; but the oppression of it ! The notion of anti-animal traits of degrading the natural woman and man with sexless Gods and confusing people with after lives and spirits and all such lies ,degrading the value of this life !

  2. It is supposed to be, mutually appreciable ,appreciative of one another also to be aware each others felling and desire, while accepting one another’s gifts and capabilities. But we do not live in fairy tale land so, we make do and hope not to poo on one another or get pooed on.

Many ways life just sticks it in and twists, forgive the pun. If we can only find the balance in between. Maybe being to clever is our problem always trying to one up the other having division/delusion of separation? I do not speak of physical or cultural I speak of spiritual/metal division/delusion. Being unaware of ourselves is possibly our problem. For we have no past really it has seemingly been wiped away.

  3. 🙁 doesn’t Gene sound like a well worn tire ? He’s been over rough traks , and now he compromises his quality of life to them ! Well i’m not breaking cause the roads tough , i’m putting on new tyres that can handle them ! 🙂

    1. Yeah I’ve been through some…bad things but I grow my own food mostly and live as quietly as possible for me. My feeling is people are less than what we could be for searching for outside stimulus instead of inside or in-site. Well for example one thing I had suffered under was an abusive step mother starting at age 3 the first slaps and to curse at me, began and then on to holding knives to throat and then my father 44 mag and then pistol whipping me unconscious a few extra kicks when I came to. But well she was mean angry and mentally a child herself but Uhh ….. well I avoid people for the most part and am better for it, if were so needy to cling to others I might have turned out different.

Well enough mellow drama, it matters not the pain can crush or it can forge it is all up to the individual.

If by any chance you think me weak no NO I just gave up caring or living for others and decided to live for me 😛 :woohoo: if that bothers social creatures well so be it! 😉

  4. I think men make better bosses, and I’ve heard many, both males and females, agree with me. Women tend to be more moody, and more guarded about people “respecting their authority”.

But if you think about it, culture and society has really been pushing girls for a long time to go to college and have careers. While at the same time, guys who do well in school are “geeks”, so fewer are excel academically and to end up working manual labor jobs.

  5. yes , the idea of being free from religion should fix it Gene !As you say , not your fault you had lousy parents …not your job to save the world either..but your responsibility to stand up to fascism no ? And all i ask is boldly put on the new tyres ! Stand for a pro-sex world not a guilty one where you lose !Pistol whip em back and smack down the priest ! B)

  6. equality is the key
Good that women are finally looking set to gain equality, but we’re not there yet. Equal (or even greater) numbers still hasn’t brought equal pay. I think it is coming though.

It is a pity, and a bit scary, that women look set to get control of society instead of a more sensible sharing. It scares me because all we need is a large reservoir of angry, disempowered, uneducated men to get the idea that women are deliberately repressing them (the way men have deliberately repressed women for centuries) to trigger a dangerous backlash against women. I think we need to tread more carefully now than ever before, and be scrupulously fair to men in a way that so many of them never were to us. We must not let any power go to our heads, because humans have a terrible flaw: whatever gender, we easily become monsters when we have power over others.

  7. 😮 no, can’t agree with humans have a terrible flaw…some have as a personality trait ; but lets not generalize ! how you treat your pets ,shows how you are in charge .If not soiled by abuse …we tend to be the most caring animal on the planet !But as a rule , humans are corrupt and desensitized !i wish for equality among all , but no room for the pushers of lies anymore !CORRUPTION AND IT’S TOOL RELIGION MUST CEASE ! 😡

  8. It’s all about the glands, tell me about the GLAND
Why is it no one gets what I’m saying? 🙁 Oh yes that was it the problem.

OK here I’ll try better explain of my self and feeling of the problem.
Now just knowing how all are divided and deluded, not just socially but spiritually…well let me make few obvious(I would like to think anyway) statements. Without the feminine there can be no more people, as well without masculine there can be no more people. Now the strength of a/any people is through the children they “both sexes” produce. How then they are raised makes the strength of the people. In saying this I mean the strength of society as a whole.

Having never been part of any “true” society were each sex compliments and completes the circle/whole not very many will stand under this analogy. So more explaining is needed but now comes my problem patience I have very little no one I have ever met can communicate as I can 00101010110 between two parties or with the earth and universe so not being able to em-part feeling true heart aching feeling of pain and joy. I choose to be as one cut off from the rest so as not be brought down to your level, of words, sounds, touches, smells and sights only.

So enough of this from me.

Now can any of you tell me what the true Christ or crossing is? Also just exactly how many senses do you really have? And now what is the difference between sense and stimuli? I have intimate knowledge of this and many including clever monkeys never stand under it as they cannot CAN OR WILL NOT make that connection with in themselves to be able to do this so we have the world we have.

By the way the step beast was a cultist she worshiped the cat goddess of egypt and practiced dark rites. She did pistol whip me by the way, I made no joke or UN-true statement in that My father did not know this and however blind and blissfully dumb was a good father. He to can not look within without some of natures little helpers which oddly enough have very little effect on me no psychedelics do.

Any way. Answer me, these riddles three, and the universe shall I giveth thee! So says the one with whom EYE can’t touch or see, smell nor hear. :woohoo: :silly: There is another question in here not just three of them! 👿 can you guess it? B)

  9. Wat u running a puzzle show Gene ? 😮
y was the blind man in the carpenter shop ?
answer me this and i’ll give the hammer !
    u see the miracle ?
    don’t need a Jesus really ; 😛

  10. well dick ‘ol boy if you can’t guess it don’t strain yourself, but as for the last part, it was kind of joke if you don’t get it you have no soul. literally the one the eye can not see or hear touch nor smell is the spirit

so bang bang maxwells silver hammer came down upon his head! sorry couldn’t help it! :woohoo: :silly:

so how about the real questions there are three in there if you can guess them but the answer lies within! shots fired across the bow just say I was friend not fo. I love riddles so con-fusing for those without hehe 😛 :side: :silly: 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿

  11. 🙁 i’m afraid there’s more damage done than first thought ! your own little world of escape eh ? no..your not smarter and your not special..unless you call being a victim special ! 😀

    1. MMMMMM damage done?
Let’s see I have damage done to me yes partially agree but not the way you think if EYE so choose/chose, could be as sociable and friendly as well any nice and gullible sap. Yeah I have a very active gland it takes me places sometimes I’d rather not go! However the drugless trip is very entertaining and most often informative if only introspectively, I have faults and am in no way perfect though but then who is? 😮 🙂

As for being smarter well if you mean indoctrination like church or school and social media then no have never had interest in it other than to smash them to bits for their lies and lies by and of omissions! An ounce of common sense will put anyone over the rest of society! Now on not being special, umm well when did you start to wipe your own butt 12mo. for me wore big boy pants from then on! Oh yeah was walking by 6mo. rode my first bike at 2yrs. also took off training wheels by myself the very day I got it! As I found them a hindrance and got two city blocks before the old man could catch me! Built me(hehe) first engine by my self at 8yrs. still have it, though my first car is dead like I said not perfect! Well anyway may not be special but I new on the day of 9/11 it was not as reported and was a greater crime than many if not any have yet realized!

    Positions for Women
There are only 2 good positions for women in life – missionary & doggie!

  13. Larry Silverstein,

Thanks for proving to us that you’re a misogynistic a**hole. The world would’ve been better off had you been aborted.
