Sexphobia and Islam: Frank talk from an Arab Muslim man

Here’s a very interesting and important post on the MidEastYouth.com website, from an Arab Muslim man, M. Mohammed of “Iraq/Palestine,” who is engaging in some very truthful musing about women and sex within Arab/Islamic culture. Now here’s an “Arab Spring” awakening I can get behind! Hopefully many more people will follow suit in such revelations.

I am reposting Mr. Mohamed’s entry in full, edited for ease of reading, highlighted and with commentary, because I feel it contains several epiphanies vital to human progress and understanding.

(It should be noted that haram means “forbidden” according to Islamic law and that Khadija was Mohammed’s wealthy older wife.)

Sexphobia and Islam

by M. Mohamed (Iraq/Palestine)

I recently found myself interested in the roles of women in Islamic (Arab) societies. There is no doubt that women are extremely oppressed with everything that makes them human being shunned away and buried by overuling men. I even found some Islamic scholars who believe that it is haram for a Muslim women to have an orgasm with her husband. Can you believe this? A human being denied the most satisfying physical pleasure with their own spouse?? While a man can orgasm all he wants…

What is this obsession and sex phobia that drives the religious leaders of Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia and Yemen to cover up women from head to toe, make it socially immoral to even look at a women, haram touch a women even if you were going to give her change or something at a store and your hands touched, and there are even imams who say women should not talk in a manner that is soft and feminine as to arouse the male horndogs of the Middle East. So what is the root of this sex phobia?

“…there are even imams who say women should not talk in a manner that is soft and feminine as to arouse the male horndogs of the Middle East.”

Nobody really knows, but it probably can be rooted in Pre-Islamic Middle East. Women in that society were considerably stronger, emotionally and mentally than other women of that time. (Do you think there would be female business women like Khadija now??… I don’t think so.) It has been postulated before that women would often initiate sex with their husbands and would have very satisfying sex lives, but this increase power in the bedroom could perhaps lead to increased power in society.

Now, this is merely my own speculation (but how it happened isn’t really that important, because it’s undeniable that women were more powerful sexually and mentally in pre-Islamic Middle East) but I think that in an attempt to lower women’s status in society and make them weak and subservient, the big players during Islam’s early days created rules, some of them added to the Quran perhaps and others said by scholars that became part of regular life for women and men….and thus we are now in the 21 century.

“…in an attempt to lower women’s status in society and make them weak and subservient, the big players during Islam’s early days created rules…”

This has huge implications for Arabs and people in the Middle East, as it always has. This sex phobia has created a society of super horny 17 and 18-year-olds that jump at the initial chance to get married to anybody just because they are dying to have sex. I have a female cousin (she hasn’t told me that sex was the reason, but it’s pretty obvious) who got married at 18 and then divorced a year later because she said the guy was an asshole. There are other women (and men) who went through the same thing. They hold off sex their whole life, dying to have physical contact of any kind with the opposite sex, they marry, have sex, and within 2 years they are divorced, because they actually had the ability to think now that they weren’t superhorny anymore.

“Sexphobia also leads to an immense obsession with sex.”

Sexphobia also leads to an immense obsession with sex. Yes – OBSESSION. These people are so sex deprived that they are looking for any excuse to talk about sex, usually ways to make it less noticeable and more haram, but nonetheless, they are looking for any excuse to talk about sex. This is not the way to raise a healthy society, and it does not “honour” women – it degrades them by covering them up and making them afraid of men, it destroys their intellect since they are not taught to be independent at all, and it leads to generations of 21 year olds who are already divorced and living in their parents’ flat.

“This is not the way to raise a healthy society, and it does not ‘honour’ women – it degrades them by covering them up and making them afraid of men…”

Acharya’s commentary: The niqab/burkha also degrades men, because it assumes that they are all sexually obsessed savages who can’t control their animal urges whenever there is an uncovered female around. There are certain areas on Earth where women can walk around nude or practically nude, and men barely lift an eyebrow, because they are not sexually repressed and obsessed. They are not gang-raping in the streets at the sight of female flesh. Which culture appears more enlightened and evolved?

Such frank talk out of the Muslim world is highly welcome, of course, and I would encourage all Middle Eastern youth to engage in it, wishing them luck and to be safe! I can attest to the sex obsession of men from the Middle and Far East, because my posts on Muslim sex slaves receive much traffic from those parts of the world, based on searches for “muslim sex.” This obsession is likewise clear from the fact that the very piously Muslim country of Pakistan ranks first in the world for internet pornography searches, including with animals.

This obsession is created, on the one hand, by hiding away women and restricting their access by males, and, on the other hand, by promising 72 “houris” or female virgin servants and sex slaves in “Paradise,” after the man has died. This sort of stick-and-carrot manipulation is a deliberate tactic by religious authorities: Fear of hell and greed for heaven – these are the methods of the priestly caste.

  1. True Religion
One thing comes through to me in all versions of the religions: “God is merciful and compassionate”. Everything of God comes directly from this one sentence. Anything that does NOT come from this one sentence is pure Satanism and it ought to be very loudly and very publicly declared to be exactly that and nothing else. What this world needs is an organization that can give out public awards with a maximum of publicity for the “Greatest Service to Satan by Devil Worshipers”, especially those who PRETEND to be serving God!

  2. Can’t believe
Can’t believe we are letting these people into our developed countries like Australia and Sweden. Western and Asian cultures have oppressed and disrespected women for a long time, and now that we have reclaimed our rights, the foreigners of a primitive culture are threatening to undo the work of feminists past and present. As a humanitarian, I’m against that! The Western and Asian world say NO. Not here!

There is democracy and demoncracy, depending of your free unconditioned choice.I think that a god who make difference between human beings and choose wich nation to punish another had to be disregarded. The fruits of christianity are seen everywere even for a squered taliban head as well as the islam ones. The people are the same everywhere
