Obama’s speech on energy independence, 3/30/2011

This speech by President Obama at Georgetown University addressing energy independence – including temporarily using domestic oil and gas while developing alternative and renewable sources such as solar, wind and biofuels for sustainability – was encouraging, to say the least.

Although many of his foreign policies are worrisome, Obama comes across as very charming and inspiring while discussing this issue of alternative energy, leaving me feeling optimistic for a change.

It’s time we kicked these energy policies into high gear – our future depends on it.
