Jerusalem next!

I know I’ll get in trouble for this one, but I can’t help it. Lessee: Barack Obama makes a speech in Cairo full of erroneous claims about Islam’s great contributions to the world, appoints Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood members to his cabinet and supports the “popular uprising” of Egypt. Now the “free” Egyptian people are calling for the destruction of Israel and the seizure of Jerusalem.  So…get it?

From Wiki’s page on the Buraq:

Al-Burāq (Arabic: البُراق‎ al-Burāq “lightning”) is a mythological steed, described as a creature from the heavens which transported the prophets. The most commonly told story is how in the 7th century, Al-Buraq carried the Islamic prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Jerusalem and back during the Isra and Mi’raj or “Night Journey”, which is the title of one of the chapters (sura), Al-Isra, of the Qur’an.”

  1. No trouble from Me
No, you won’t get into trouble with me. My fear is when Obama will bring the Brotherhood to America. He’s already supporting/encouraging demonstrations in Wisconsin with the public unions.

Need to read a thriller just out about Americans who fight corrupt govt. & tries to save America from it’s own govt. ( http://www.booksbyoliver.com ).

As bad as Obama gets, he seems to continually astonish me with some new that is against America’s best interest. Great article!! Thanks.

    1. What?
My father was a white protestant college educated soldier who fought and was blown up in World War II Germany – his family immigrated to the Pennsylvania colony in 1719. He had 13 surgeries from his WWII injuries to get him back into the mix. After the war, he fought long and hard for workers rights, spent 30 years as a public school teacher for crap pay, raised 6 kids all who worked their way through college, and never owned a new car…he could only afford old beat up cars.

Anti-union people are anti-American. Dad would kick your butt any day of the week – even in the aged condition he would be in if he was still alive. But don’t worry, if he did, you could take sick time to get better because men like him fought hard to make it so. Move to China’s authoritarian capitalist society Mr. or Mrs. MountainHome authoritarian fascist. You are a great fit for it.

  2. True – somewhat
Your observations are astute on many points. Although, I have to note that I didn’t read some of the words acknowledging attributes of Islam’s contributions as categorical. In the case of music for instance, I read it as saying that muslims or arabic music is part of the world music catalogue to be acknowledged. That’s how I read that portion of the statement, but I cannot climb into his head. It didn’t seem to me that he was saying that islam was music developments primary force.

And, even though my personal opinion of arabic or muslim contributions to music are not positive – I prefer a more Euopean approach to music. The arab culture did supply the primitive forms of several instruments which went on to become standard symphonic instruments in European music.

In addition, right or wrong, at this point in history there will be these kinds of speeches performed as bridge building diplomacy. George W. Bush made more than a few of these kinds of honey dripping speeches. A necessary evil? I don’t know.

    That’s all.
