I can't say enough.. and I can't even imagine how much you have researched these topics. I, myself have been doing my own personal research for the past 12 years... and finally came across your writings. You so poignantly exposed the truth that even a layman can understand.

I got the book from the library, and I wanted to start underlining very quickly into it, so I bought it.

Fantastic book, what a research job.

The last chapter, where you try to decipher the politics of why such and such passage is in which gospel was amazingly insightful.

It is so great to have a scholar of this area who isn't so biased in favor of the "accuracy" of these documents.

Dear Acharya:

I have now finished reading Christ in Egypt as well as your own version of the gospel. Although most of the ideas were not new to me, the amount of documentation in the book surpasses most dissertations. The average person would never obtain access to many of the sources you have included. As a result, the book reduces the amount of space needed and the years of time required for an equivalent reference library. Your diligence is greatly appreciated. In addition, your version of the gospel is much closer to being "Good News" for me than all the others I have read. Your candor and accuracy are truly needed to assist those who plan to navigate this difficult territory.

After years in traditional Christianity, I was always in trouble for asking questions, applying logic, and for expecting ethics to be a guideline. Simultaneously, I was a scientist with conflicting views. Then, I began to study ancient languages and cultures. Alas, you should easily suspect the outcome.

Although Christ in Egypt connects the many stories back to the Egyptian view, the underlying reasons for the Egyptians and others to have such strong ties to these astronomical symbols [the cognitive archaeology] intrigues me even more. The idea of the death of a god on a tree as related to the sun on the galactic cross and the idea of eating the god or a human substitute for that god, has held power for so many for so very long. Yet, so few have any idea about the true origins. I have even speculated that it was an ancient biology lesson that became sacred and symbolically dramatized in order to be remembered and then the true reasons became distorted. The energy from the Sun God, through photosynthesis, is stored in plants...ADP, ATP...and we eat that Sun God to capture his energy by consuming "bread and wine."...

I have had the pleasure to buy and read several of your books, and must pay my compliments. Rarely have I seen such a marriage of physical beauty, keen intelligence,and discernment in one person. You are a tireless and meticulous researcher. I have found your writing has helped to liberate me from the carefully constructed myths that had enchained my thinking for many years.

I have , since I was a young boy, had a fascination with exploring the KJV of the Bible, as well as seeking out the extra biblical texts that were available. Later, with the discoveries of the Dead Sea scrolls, and the Gnostic writings in Egypt , I was further enthused. Now, I can think in a more spiritually comprehensive manner, and having put the ancient Hebrew writings in their proper context, have gained a new, yet great appreciation of them. Please keep up the great work.

I just finished your outstanding work, Suns of God for which you are truly a scholar! The research to write that work is beyond my comprehension. I have read The Christ Conspiracy and I am now starting Christ in Egypt and plan to read the rest of your works.

I have read Richard Dawkins, especially the God Delusion as well as God is not Great by Christopher Hitchens. I felt they were absolutely correct, but when I read your works, well that settled the issue!

I admit to getting somewhat "lost" at times, but it is amazing how long this Christian critique has been ongoing. Christianity is truly on thin ice!
